USA Today has put together a two minute long recap of Season 2. They do leave out a few things, like the reveal of the man in the mask, Henry Allen's death and the set up for Flashpoint.

The CW released a synopsis for episode 3x02 called Paradox:

THE AFTERMATH — Barry (Grant Gustin) realizes the effects from Flashpoint are much greater than he thought. Meanwhile, Barry meets new co-worker Julian Albert (Tom Felton) and is surprised by Julian’s immediate disdain for Barry.

It's really rather vague in which reality this takes place, "The Aftermath" would suggest it features Barry's return to the regular timeline. But "Barry realizes the effects" would suggest he's still in an alternate reality. Also supporting that are the names of episodes, Ep 1 is Flashpoint, and Ep 2 is Paradox, and The Flashpoint Paradox was the name of the movie based on Flashpoint the comic book so I guess we can presume they might be a two-parter type thingy?

It's possible that Barry does an immediate fix on the timeline, but it's not perfect...he can't quite put humpty dumpty back together again.

It sounds to me like it's still in the Flashpoint timeline. I'm pretty sure I've read somewhere that the producers/writers have already said it will be more than one episode, but won't take up the whole season.

weird, I am seeing it. Not sure what I did wrong. It is the first picture of the two Flashes, Barry and Jay, in costume together.

Earth 2 Wells told Jay that on his world the helmet gave people hope. Considering Zoom stole so much from Jay, he wanted to steal something from Zoom and make that hope real now.

I am still not completely satisfied by that explanation. It would suggest that for years the real Jay was the Flash with no mask or helmet. I would rather had it been revealed that Zoom was lying that it was his father's helmet.

In TV Guide's Comic Con special issue it was revealed the original plan was for John to wear a replica of his old suit from his own series as Jay. They changed their minds. I am glad they did. While a cool throwback it would have undermined that Jay Garrick is a completely separate character with his own unique costume.

That is pretty cool. I really hope before the end of the season we get to see Barry, Jay, Wally, and Jessie all in costume together.

While I dig the Jay Garrick look and especially the helmet being kept, I'll remain disappointed because the one they used for Zoom was - IMO - much better and in some ways truer to the original. Maybe colorize the lightning bolt, but otherwise it's golden.

A lot of people will be very happy. This type of stuff is why DCTV is seemingly loved more than the DC FU
