Fuller already said the uniforms wouldn't look like those from the time period.
my reaction to these supernitpicky articles and threads....Seems like I'm not the only one that thinks Discovery won't be quite "Prime"...

I feel better already. If it helps you feel better about not preferring Prime, go for it.

Yet another thread devolving ala Godwin's law into Prime vs. nuTrek (Kelvin).
The earlier Prime vs. nuTrek tug-of-war seemed to be about the franchise's future existing in either one or the other universe, not both. So it took on a real Democrat vs. Republican sort of furvor.
Discovery solves this impasse so that each subgroup can just file over to their appropriate sandbox and leave the other alone. I'm hoping that brings some closure to the civil war.
Then again, if Discovery becomes prime in name only, with Applestore bridges and lens flare, then we're in for trouble...
No they will be an amalgam of the past uniforms and a modern look. As he has said a "little bit of this and a little bit of that" If the show is going to be based of off section 31 which is starting to seem more likely the uniforms will have to be different but also retain some classic qualities to reflect the group they are serving and the time period they are living in.
Its the prime universe. Geez you were wrong about and it is now coming back. Just get over it now.
Considering that this is completely and utterly just speculation on your part, I'll just wait until May to see how things really go.
Or you could get over the need to make posts to tell people to get over things.

Sorry but its set in the Prime universe. No connection to the NuTrek universe will be there.
Of course there will be. The Kelvinverse is an offshoot of the prime--they are inextricably and forever linked. Cause, you know, it's all Star Trek.Sorry but its set in the Prime universe. No connection to the NuTrek universe will be there.
They have a common history pre-incursion, but how are they "inextricably and forever linked" when they are now totally and forever separate?Of course there will be. The Kelvinverse is an offshoot of the prime--they are inextricably and forever linked. Cause, you know, it's all Star Trek.
