Or you could search the Kelvin Forum. Or you could review her posts through her profile. Or you could stop spamming up the place and do what she asked.

Spamming!!! I hardly ever post in your forum anymore! That's how much spamming, I am guilty of. Why did I ever do to you to deserve this constant harassment?

Moderation is not harassment. And you're still off topic.

Considering I haven't given you a formal spamming warning (yet) you should consider yourself lucky.

Now please, drop it.

I think the director didn't tell him firmly enough to tone it down. And WTF was that ridiculous nail-filing BS when Janice Lester (in Kirk's body) was sitting in the Captain's chair? Did they think the audience was too stupid to remember that this wasn't actually Kirk, so they added some "stereotypical" female mannerisms?

Like Kirk doesn't ever snag a nail on anything? Though I would suspect he'd bite off a rough edge, were he in his right mind. Or rather, were his right mind in him.

That wasn't Kirk. It was Janice Lester, filing her nails while sitting in the Captain's chair. It's unprofessional, and one of the stereotypical things women are shown doing on TV, or at least they were back then.

But it was his body. And if Kirk in Kirk's own body's nail ever caught on something, he wouldn't necessarily take the time to manicure himself. He has more important things to do.
I don't care if Janice wants to give Kirk's body a manicure... when she's off-duty. But doing it on-duty, on the bridge, is unprofessional. It's the kind of thing that some TV shows from that era had secretaries doing - primping and doing their nails while sitting at their desks.

Most people I know think of all our yesterdays as the real series finale.
I do too, and I think of TI as a sort of premiere for a season 4 that never was. The fact that it was delayed awhile helps with this self-indulgent little mental thingie of mine...

I think we are a little misguided here. That didn't take place on the bridge, but in Kirk's quarters:

I think "we" are a little unreasonably snarky here (what's with the "royal we" stuff?).

I accept your correction, but point out that it's more likely that I was thinking of Captain Whatsisname in Star Trek III - if I recall correctly, he decided to file his nails on the bridge.

Either way, it's not a James Kirk-like action. Yes, I'm sure that it's probably part of his grooming routine, but not one that's been shown on-camera. After all, nobody on Star Trek combs their hair or even uses the bathroom for anything other than a brief splash of water on the face.
