I have to say the same. I'm starting to like it.
See I knew people would come around to the dual saucers!
I loved it since I first saw it.

This looks pretty good to me, and so does that Constitution silhouette.
No. No they don't.
The Ambassador class looks fine as is, it doesn't need a Kelvin style redesign/refit.

The nacelles were always the biggest problem for me with the Discovery. Such a small change, but very very effective.
I like that.... especially the dorsal view.

Oh god, I want this to be the design SOOOOO much!
In my head, I explain that away by telling myself that aerospace engineers moved on from jetliners and military craft to Starfleet vessels.... therefore it's somewhat ingrained in their style of design.
Who knows, perhaps that prototype sketch was designed with atmospheric entry in mind, and those rear wing-like sections aid in stabilization during re-entry.
