Things we have now that Prime universe Trek did not foresee

Plus you can read it over and take it in several times - chew it, as it were - before responding, analyzing for nuances that you missed the first time. By the time you finally respond, you're fairly certain what they're saying. That, or you've overthought it and it's hours later, way too late to answer or take advantage of what is being expressed.

lol. Point taken. :)

It can be done to correct potentially fatal or debilitating medical conditions, but not to make your kid a superhero.

I actually have a feeling this is going to be the great debate of the 21st Century.

frail
  1. (of a person) weak and delicate.
  2. easily damaged or broken; fragile or insubstantial.
Actually, frail is exactly the word that comes to mind (which is why I used it).

For his age he didn't look frail at all. All people that age are DEAD, you can't get more frail than that.

They still use Viagra in the 24th century. I would have thought they'd have invented something more sophisticated by then.
Longer life span is a side effect so they kept it, courtesy of the Vulcan Science Academy who discovered it as a cure for the Bendii Syndrome lol

Looked at the wikipedia article for Supercentarian. (refers to someone who has reached 110 years of age). The individual with the longest confirmed lifespan was Jeanne Calment of France. Died in 1997 at an age of 122 years of age.

She would have had an adult perception of the world for an entire century. When she was twenty-two years old, the world of 1997 would have been wild science fiction. A lot can and did change during that period.
