Episodes you refuse to watch

STAR TREK is so versatile, is it not? And thoroughly enjoyable ... I love The Next Generation, with a zealot's passion, so you might think that every other series would seem an anticlimax. But it isn't so, with me. The rest of the franchise is just the icing on the cake, you know? And that includes ENTERPRISE! What a great Bonus Feature for my favourite series! Four Seasons worth, in fact! And it just keeps getting better, since there's more on the way. There's parts I'm finding out about DISCOVERY that doesn't thrill me, but ... that's OK, too. I've already gotten what I wanted and it's heavy duty stuff. There's no reason why I can't like steak ... AND cheesecake.

Yes, I like it because it shows us exactly what would happen if the Xindi get their weapon to Earth.

"Show, don't tell", that's exactly what this episode does. Instead of being told what the Xindi can do, we're shown it.

Well, i read it but I mostly disagree with it, about the conclusions that is.
Well, I've never expected many people to agree with me on this particular episode. And I spent too much time arguing about it when I was active here 10 years ago and don't plan on doing it again. Thus having a link to this review is handy.

I do think that on the series as a whole the writers put Archer on a pedestal too much, but I'm not going to knock this episode for it. This also is a huge character episode for T'Pol. She would not abandon someone that sacrificed themselves for her. Too bad the crew won't remember this. They would follow her to hell and back. This episode also pleases the A/T'ers.

A/T'ers... You mean people who'd want to see Archer and T'Pol get together?

I have been watching it with my partner (my third viewing, her first) and really regret not skipping some in season 2. A Night in Sickbay, Vanishing Point and Precious Cargo come immediately to mind.

I promised that season 3 would be better, and along comes Extinction. Argh! Now she doesn't want to watch any more.

If I do another rewatch, I'll definitely skip those and Fusion.

I never understood the desire to pair Captain Archer with T'Pol. Weren't the ratings bad enough? Had they committed to going that route, Enterprise's ratings would've headed due South ... like a duck in Winter!

It looks to me like they lost their way.

All of Season 1, most of Season 2, stuff like Rajiin, Extinction, North Star from Season 3, TATV. There's a good chunk of episodes that I just plain haven't seen and don't intend to.

Precious Cargo, Civilization, Desert Crossing, Dawn, Daedalus and TATV are always skippers for me.
