In A Mirror, Darkly

What was the point of Mirror Mirror? The point is to see the world and the characters from an unusual angle.

In Mirror, Mirror we see the regular characters interacting with the Mirror crew and their goal is to escape. Then there's Mirror Spock who has an arc within the episode and becomes an unexpected ally at the end.

As fun as IAMD was, I think it's a bit of a shame that they came when the came, late in the last season. That were two slots that could have delved further on events in the real timeline. The same can be said of the Alien Nazi episodes.
I think the showrunners knew the writing was on the wall for the show not making it another season at that point. So why not have some fun?
One can always say there are subspecies of Gorn
This is, in fact, how it's been handled in some of TrekLit.
And Hoshi, somehow, I see her just pretending to be slutty.
Well... yeah. The "sluttiness" was a hook into power, wealth, and influence for her - not sincere nymphomania or anything. I take it you haven't been around too many strippers or sex workers in their off hours. The contrast between their work persona and the way they are in their personal time can be rather dramatic.
The one series that should've done a MU episode was TNG. Data with a goatee.... God, that would've been gold.
Well, HE certainly would have been, anyway.

I hated that big reveal of hers ... so very badly. Oh! But the fans won't see that coming! Whatever ...
I'm sorry to say that Travis was so unforgettable to me, that I had to double take to figure out who Hoshi was with at the end. Then I went back and realized he DID have a couple of lines through the episode. At least a couple...honestly, I can't remember much of him at all in the episode!

I don't like that episode, I don't like the mirror universe to be sincere.

I don't like the episode because it is too unbelievable: in less than a century human advance in tech enough and build a fleet so big they can be a threat for Vulcan, Andor, Tellar, Denobula and other planet?

I don't like the mirror universe because it is too cartoonish: they are all bad and do bad things. I'd prefer it was just an universe where human are a bit more pragmatic than standard universe human. Give a motive to this pragmatism would be great

They're supposed to have stolen all that technology first from the Vulcans and then from all the others.

Did you mean "forgettable" or "unforgettable" regarding Travis? It sounds like you mean "un-" or am I confused? Please, clarify for me ... specify ...

Judging by the context, he meant "forgettable". I make that kind of mistake often. Happens when you don't proofread yourself.

Understood & Confirmed. Whilst I cannot swear to it, though, I've known Willow to be a fine Lady since our startrek.com days ...

Thank you! I DID mean forgettable. :rommie:
My kid was a big distraction and I forgot to proofread!
And 2takesfrakes, I AM a lady, but I don't think I ever belonged to Startrek.com :p I just joined up TrekBBS about two years ago.
