Germany exclusive Star Trek trilogy "Prometheus" coming in 2016

If thought about this since the crewlist was released and now I've just gotta ask: Is Doctor Geron Barai in any way connected to the memory beta user GeronBarai?

Man, even the German Memory Beta looks better than what we get in the US. :p
Yeah, Ventress (who has contributed twice to a Star Wars wiki) recently redesigned our main page so it looks really great now. Also it helps to make different articles for novelverse and STO and so on. The English MB though has like fifteen times more articles, which is quite impressive. Considering that we have like 5 active members at the moment I don't think that we're doing that bad.

Also: If you have rudimentary german skills and want to contribute to a free internet database with neat design, you know were to find us. We're desperate... Ok it ain't that bad, but seriously, new users are always welcome.

That's a good question, isn't it? ;) Well, I can tell you this: About ten years ago four friends and I played the "Star Trek RPG" from Decipher (great game, by the way!) and Geron Barai was our Doctor there. Senok was our First Officer. John Paxon was our security chief. And a few other characters also found their way from the Sagitta (our trusty Sabre-Class ship) to the Prometheus. So, yes, both names have the same source.

That's some interesting trivia information! I'll add it to the characters' wiki page as soon as they exist. At that time Prometheus #4 might already be out...

The circle ... er ... the trilogy is now complete.

They are scheduled for December 2016, January and February 2017, however aren't on available for preorder on amazon.com

I may be getting insane at this point, but I'm fairly sure, there was a post from someone who I answered to.
Edit: I checked my emails, and yes I am not going insane and the was a post that I responded to.

Odd!

I have even downloaded the sample you can get of the German edition on Amazon in an attempt to get into it ahead of the English translation - but my German is definitely not that good, and I had to rely on the Kindle translator function for most of it.

Hi everyone.
Just a quick update. I met Cross Cult at the book fair in Frankfurt last weekend and they told me, they are talking to several major publishing houses at the moment to make a print version of "Star Trek Prometheus" happen. I don't know the details but at least two publishers with "Star Trek" experience seemed highly interested (still no change of mind by Pocket Books). I tell you this, because a possible deal might delay the ebooks. I guess CC would sell the rights for print and ebook as a bundle. It would make no sense to sell the ebook now and offer a print book a few month later. But again, I just know that they are in talks about a possible print run of "Star Trek Prometheus". As soon as I hear more, I let you know.

That's what I was told at least. I guess their publishing schedule is so tight (they publish one novel per month after all) that they just don't have any free slots available for "Prometheus". Or perhaps they don't like German authors playing in their sand box. :) I honestly don't know. (But of course I would be delighted if they changed their mind.)
