Trekcore are saying no date is confirmed, but Amazon did have December 31. Hopefully they'll push it up in time for Christmas.
My bet is late Nov/early Dec, just in time for holiday shopping.31 December is almost always a placeholder for online stores until an official release date is available, whenever they want to indicate it will be available sometime within the calendar year. If it is not, then a more generic message saying the date will be determined later is used.
I was talking about the scene where they had instant home video. "When does this happen in the movie?!"We're heading to Idiocracy. You're 30 years too late for Spaceballs (assuming you're on about murchundising)
From my understanding no one here is "wishing" for a small budget Trek film.
I'll take a smaller budgeted film that makes up for the lack of expensive spectacle with an engaging story and interesting characters any day.
There have been a few threads about animated Trek movies. It is a common misconception that animation translates to kiddie fare. There has been a strong lineup of animation films this year which prove this genre can have adult themes and concepts while appealing to both kids and adults.

Opened for general release on July 22.I didn't see Beyond until a week and a half ago, but it's been out since May hasn't it?
Still in the cinemas too. About 30 people watched the 2015 showing at Swiss Cottage in London tonight. Alas only available in headache-vision. £21 for a ticket.
I wonder when we'll be getting more info on when or if Star Trek XIV is really gonna happen.
Even if Beyond is a success in China, there will be a major upheaval on the Star Trek front cos Paramount want its movies to do well in the States (and Europe) and Beyond has performed rather poorly.
My felling is the next one will be quite different from the last three movies, perhaps a whole new cast and/or production team and it might take a few years to get made.
Star Trek Beyond is the First Star Trek movie since First Contact (where I was too young) which I didn't saw in Cinemas. In fact I haven't seen this movie to this day.
Everyone says it's better than the first two Kelvin movies. But that's not really a Bar that ignites excitement within me. And from anything else I saw and heard this movie looks bland and generic as hell
I certainly would have watched it if I or my friends had any time for it. But the novie was on nobodies priority list, and there were much better alternatives. Which is sad, since Trek is ultimately my favourite Franchise...
