Star Trek: Discovery - what other starship classes will show up?

We know that the Constitution-class starship is active in this era, and I am personally hugely looking forward to seeing one in full HD quality CGI, complete with directional lighting, and surface details - I would also deeply like to see some of the other designs of the era, such as the really cool-looking Saladin-class:

But we might also get extra lucky and see the other Ralph McQuarrie design, which I personally love even more than the Star Destroyer type design - it looks so swan-like, as it sails into the astroid spacedock:

Other than that, we could see all sorts of ships from this lost era, and flesh out the Federation's fleet from the age of Kirk, since in TOS, only the Constitution-class ever showed up. Will there be a few Kelvin-type vessels still around in this era, I wonder?

Also, although there has been some supposed concept art for new Klingon ships, I wonder if we will see the classic form of the D7 striking out from Ty'Gokor?

It's impossible to tell what kind of new designs will show up... However, of the already known designs here are those I think could make it in the new series, if the creators are inclined to recycle existing ships.

Pre-Federation ships (NX class, Franklin-type, Intrepid-type, Sarajevo-type, etc): unlikely that any have survived in active service until the 2250s
Daedalus class: unlikely, class supposedly retired by 2196
Constitution class: presence possible
Yorkshire/Antares (Remaster) type: would be a likely candidate for the time period
Kelvin type: also a candidate for the time period, although it's a Paramount creation and less likely to show up.
Oberth class, Miranda class: probably (hopefully) not in service yet. Although going by the registry numbers alone (NCC-600s), Oberth-class ships might be older than what we think. They also have a rather modern look compared to the original Connies, but they wouldn't clash as much next to the USS Discovery judging by its preliminary design.

These are the main known ship types that could fit in the Discovery time frame. Not very many, so I'm pretty confident some new type of ships will show up to fill the void.

Kelvin-type, whatever that class is called.
And the Daedalus class.

The Soyuz Class could be around at this time. I think of the Miranda class of being the Soyuz's replacement.

i've always wanted to see a Daedalus class ship on screen.

I always hated it myself, it just looked so very goofy. But eh, at this point its well loved and canon, so yeah I would not mind seeing one on screen. Its past time.
