Petition: Cancel Discovery And Greenlight Post-Nemesis Series

Maybe they'll do a time travel story that shows a hint of post-Nemesis.

Or maybe there'll be a second new series that will take place then. Wouldn't be the first time two serieses aired at the same time.

As long as it does not look like something designed in the 1960's I'll give it a go
Au contraire. Retro-future designs are my favorite out of all science fiction. In fact, those are the only types of SF designs I really enjoy. As I posted in another thread, I am hoping for some kind of aesthetic that uses that as a starting point, but takes everything to the next level.

As for the petition, no thanks. I am sick of the 24th century. And online petitions of this nature never do any good, anyway, so what's the point?

I think it would just be best if they didn't make a new show.

Actually, it would probably be better if they hadn't made the old shows either.

Maybe we could all send back our VHS, DVD and Bluray copies and ask them to erase the master copies.

We could maybe start a petition ?

Even if I don't agree with time period chosen, I still trust the people making the show enough to believe that this has the potential to be an amazing show.
I'm disappointed, but not enough to do something like this.
A bit of advice, if you actually want to get CBS attention, you might want to add a few more zeros to your final goal. I'm thinking it would probably take something more like 10,000 or 100,000 to even get CBS to give it a second. 100 people isn't going to do anything.

Hands up if you thought we'd never get another Trek series on TV (or at least, was highly unlikely).

Exactly.

OP, it's your right to be unhappy about X, Y or Z aspect of Discovery, and I'm sure that in time-honoured tradition Trek fans will continue to be VERY vocal (and divided) about what they like/don't like about it, or even whether it's any good or not... but to actively try and stop it from being made? The mind boggles.

What I am speaking of is the crap they did on DS9 and ENT, making it look just like a 1960's TV show. I am fine with inspired by, but if it looks like a 1960's TV show, IMO they have failed.
