During the end credits, it goes to black (and silence) before Dedicated to Leonard Nimoy.
As far as I remember it was "In Loving Memory Of Leonard Nimoy"

What opening credits?
At the preview screenings there were credits during the opening scenes (actor names, production companies etc.) - they're gone from the final version of the film. They've also added the full stylised "Star Trek Beyond" logo at into the end credits and changed some of the fonts and the wordings. Some of the scenes in the final film have also been tightened up in comparison to the preview print.
That sounds right. My apologies. As far as I remember it was "In Loving Memory Of Leonard Nimoy"
The logo didn't appear until the end, and the credits font seems very TNG like, and not the 3D text style from the first two movies.so there's no like little intro card like in the first two that separated the prologue from the main story?
Not really a spoilerish question but is it me or does Pine look like Collins with that new do?
What about social commentary? My biggest issue with JJTrek is the dumbed down aspect. I'm hopeful this one has substance. Something to think about.
Don't get personal. You know better than to do that.Unless you're the type of person that loves to be preached to as if you're in church.![]()
What are you talking about? It has never been canonically established where Sulu's family originates from. Only that Sulu himself was born in San Francisco. No, because Sulu is a Japanese character. The characters must be Korean themselves.
You need to read back a few from @The Wormhole's post. Starting about here, say - to get the proper context. What are you talking about? It has never been canonically established where Sulu's family originates from. Only that Sulu himself was born in San Francisco.
Based on that info about my personal list (TWOK, TUC, TSFS, TVH, TMP, FC, ST09, GEN, TFF, STID, NEM, and INS), how would you rate this one against TWOK and/or STUC etc, and why? Just a few (perhaps spoiler-ish) hints to point me a certain way would be very helpful. Thanks again.
Thanks so much! I've been reading non-spoiled reviews... and am beginning to believe that, despite the Lin-flavored effects and action, Pegg et al were able to make this one about the emotions, interactions, and the poignancy that was so much a part and parcel of the TOS cast. Am I right? If that's true, I'll be fine with there being no huge social messaging. This cast is still very new and young-ish. And they don't have the luxury of continual exposure to each other via a TV series like the TOS/TNG cast did. So, they need an immediate shot where their growing chemistry gets first priority. So, if Beyond has this, I'm good. I'll be seeing it tomorrow. Thanks again...
That sounds a bit unfair to me...Lin was as much a part of the creative process as Pegg and Jung, if not more.and am beginning to believe that, despite the Lin-flavored effects and action, Pegg et al were able to make this one about the emotions, interactions, and the poignancy that was so much a part and parcel of the TOS cast.

Now that I have seen the movie I just want to say all the hand-wringing earlier in the thread that this thread in fact ruined the movie was completely unnecessary. Nothing of any significance was given away, and my experience was not ruined at all by knowing what I did. If anything, this thread fueled my enthusiasm and excitement for the movie, and enhanced my appreciation of it.
Thank-you AndyPandy, this was a good thread. I can only hope the next movie has a similar thread.
When did I do that? By saying that Lin has as much creative control as the writers do?Uhh, please don't make a mountain out of a molehill.
