Yes, if it's legit then it's a big spoiler.
After looking at it more, let me say I'm skeptical.I saw that about a week ago.
Bear in mind this goes against everything Pegg/Jung have said so far in terms of everything being new.
I guess we do know Krall has a beef against the Federation.
We just don't know what it is.
That 'review' does pose a possible answer.
Doing so, if true, would alienate even more of the Trek fan base.
Something I'm quite sure Pegg DOESN'T want to risk.
After looking at it more, let me say I'm skeptical.
RAMA
It happened a couple of times with Kubrick's The Shining. After the film was issued, Kubrick had the cinemas cut certain parts of the reels and mail the footage back to him. Then he re-edited for the European release.Once they premier a movie it is the final cut of the movie. I have never heard of changes being made post premier.
And The Avengers, which filmed a new (admittedly short) scene after the premiere. It happened a couple of times with Kubrick's The Shining. After the film was issued, Kubrick had the cinemas cut certain parts of the reels and mail the footage back to him. Then he re-edited for the European release.
I don't know. I know it's subjective but the back and forth on their relationship is probably one of the more "real" moments for me in the film. It felt that there was a history and a relationship there, rather than just quips.
Kind of like how Bones and Kirk get. And the impression I get is now that they've established certain relationships in the past two films, there will be different dynamics explored in Beyond.
I think the S/U relationship will probably as strong as ever. Of course not knowing where the scene with S/U and her wanting to give the necklace he gave her appears in the movie (I tend to think before all the bad stuff that happens to everyone) there is a scene where they kiss that I saw in one trailer that I think probably happens when the crew reunites.
Our own @Therin of Andor was among the very first to see it, and said "movie was excellent"![]()
Spoilers.
One of the bridge crew members written as gay in STB as a nod to an original TOS cast member.
Pegg & Lin thought Star Trek should lead the charge, join the 21st century and be a trailblazing franchise again.
