Game Of Thrones Season 6 Discussion (Spoilers)

My predication

Jon Snow wins the Battle after the army of the Vale under Baelish comes riding in when Snow is about to lose.

Ramsey Bolton survives and runs away. He lives to seek revenge another day in another season.

Wun Wun dies.

The Umbers and Karstarks bend their knee to avoid losing their titles and land.

The land of the Boltons is given to the Wildlings and Tormund becomes the new leader of a new house.

Brienne is wooed by Tormund and she marries him.

I hope Ramsay doesn't survive too much longer. Villains like that who are just sadists aren't exactly of the 'love to hate' variety.

The perfect end for Ramsay would be if he was somehow captured and handed over to Yara's fleet, but there unfortunately don't exist the relationships for that to happen.

I think the forces of the Vale will indeed tip the balance in Jon and Sansa's favor, but I also expect Ramsey to escape alive somehow.
The real question is what's the Father's Day angle? Sam killing his asshole dad? Jon finding out he's really a Targ, or at least us finding it out??

I'm still wary of simple and generic solutions in GoT and promo pictures can be very deceitful because they usually only show part of what's really happening.

Of course we all want the Starks to win, it is obvious that the Vale army will probably save the day by charging the Boltons in the rear or somesuch and that Jon will take the head of Ramsay (or hand over Longclaw to Sansa so she can have her personal revenge).. while it may be that easy and straightforward and surely according to the wishes of the viewers i don't think Martin has ever played to reader/viewer expectations (or else Ned or Drogo might still be alive) so there might be a few surprises left.

I can also only assume that Arya's time in Bravos will also have repercussions.. the producers surely won't have kept her around for two seasons just to fill the time. So her training as an assassin surely will come in handy sooner or later, especially now that she's returning to where everything is going to happen (and all events currently happening are always pointing to Westeros and more specifically the North).

So we will get that big ass battle now, likely ending with the defeat of the Boltons by way of lucky reinforcements for the Starks. Dany will probably clean up shop in the East with the combined power of the Unsullied and the Dothraki, just in time for either Yara's or Euron's fleet (more likely the former since he has to build it first) to appear and take her army to Westeros.

King's Landing plot should also be moving to resolve.. they are rushing to the breaking point and i'm curious to see if fan theories about Wildfyre will ring true.

All considered it should be two jam packed episodes in this season and then a season and a half preparing and fighting the Others.

I hope Ramsay dies tonight, not only because he's despicable but because the show has done as much as can be done with the character. He's tortured Theon, slaughtered Ironborn and rebellious Northerners, brutalised Sansa, defeated Stannis' army, killed his father and become Warden of the North, killed his stepmother and half-brother as well as Osha. He's basically just a pretty one-dimensional bad guy and I'm glad he's been used pretty sparingly the second half of this season so far. Time to find a new bad guy to boo.

Maybe it depends whether he's had the special Bolton op or not?

Is it established in the books that male primogeniture or even a Salic-like Law of succession apply in Westeros?

Before Arya went to Bravos her development was about her bloodlust for all the people who betrayed her family but her inability to act on it. Her stay in Bravos seemed to be about trying to gain that ability but needing to sacrifice her identity to get it. She thinks at this point she's managed to gain the ability without losing her ability, the question is whether Jaqen will really just let her walk away.

I see what you did there .
I hope that happens too.
Well, I doubt there's much left of Ramsay to bury and it was never going to be a very close parallel to the end of the Wars of the Roses anyway. Littlefinger did commit his troops at the Battle of Winterfell and was never Ramsay's ally, whereas Henry Percy, 4th Earl of Northumberland and supposed ally of Richard III, merely failed to commit his troops at the Battle of Bosworth.

I expect Sansa is probably now beholden to Littlefinger so she'll either have to marry him and become Lady Harrenhal or, perhaps more likely, marry her cousin, Robin Arryn. Good luck consummating marriage with the latter... There's also a rumour that she's pregnant with Ramsay's child although we haven't had the usual morning sickness or missed period tropes.

From the very heavy hints dropped, it sounded like Kings Landing is going to be toast fairly soon
...ETA... and not by dragons.

What a terrific episode, very epic.

The battle scenes were fantastic, and this being Game of Thrones, there were several moments when I thought the good guys were going to lose.

The arrival of Littlefinger army was very predictable.

The Giant dude was a difference maker.

Are the wildlings now extinct? Did Tormund survive?

Rickon Stark RIP, we hardly knew you.

Nice to see all three dragons together again.

I certainly hope we are finally done with slave masters storyline.

So who is going to die in the season finale? The red woman and Sparrow are possibilities, but my money is on Tommen.

Cersei will probably end up killing Tommen accidentally although whether it'll be the next episode I have no inkling. The trailer for next week doesn't give much away.
