There is Fairuza Balk - a gorgeous actress - whose name (Fairuza) I've always found to be most uncommon and especially pretty. If I ever have a daughter of my own, though, her name will (most assuredly) be Portia - which I'm quite taken by. Portia is the heroine of William Shakespeare's The Merchant of Venice. I have a penchant for the works of Shakespeare and own them all. STAR TREK, of course, is heavily influenced by his works, as well.

As to specific STAR TREK names to give a girl, you know what? I'm kind of resistant to that idea. I don't know of too many I'd feel comfortable using. But a few that seem to make the grade would be ...
