Game Of Thrones Season 6 Discussion (Spoilers)

:D Damn, that was a great episode. :D

EC's ability to emote in Dothraki AND Valyrian is SO impressive, she gets better every time.

I gave Jonathan Pryce a 50-50 shot at surviving going in, so psyched he's still on the show. From the preview we're going to get another Circe\Queen of Thorns clash next week. :techman:

Long lost characters finally coming back: Benjen, Blackfish, Edmure, Drogon, Walder Frey, and soon Bronn. What about Gendry?

A brief glimpse of Mad King!

Did Brann seeing/hearing the Mad King suggest that he suffered the same fate as Hodor when he was shouting "burn them all", he was getting warged into the middle of a White Walker fight?

Damn, Benjen only appeared three times way back in season 1, no wonder I didn't remember him

I just found the greatest thing ever and absolutely have to share it (so if it's already been mentioned, I apologize).

Back on May 6th, CNN actually covered the politics of Westeros as if the world of the series and the characters therein are real.

You made my day, CNN; you made my day.

Closest thing to real news they've broadcasted in years.

Loved the episode. Curious to see how this plays out with Arya. I loved seeing the historical revision of the first four seasons in the play. I don't see how she can escape the faceless assassins but it'd also be weird if they killed her that way, in a thread that hasn't interacted with any other thread yet. Not even 'OH MY GOD they killed my favorite character', more like 'What was the point of killing a great character that way?'

It's starting to seem they're actually going to get around to Denerys attacking the mainland.

Do you think Margery is genuinely religious now or is this a long game to help her desperate brother?

Now we have confirmation that the Blackfish actually did retake Riverrun and now Jamie is going to enter that stage. It should be interesting where that goes.

I'm a little confused about Dany's long term plans. She's drumming up the Dothraki to storm across the sea and kill everybody and destroy everything. I thought she wanted to bring freedom and justice to the Seven Kingdoms? Cause it sounds like she's bringing a genocide... Even if she's just talking politics to get them on board, what does she plan to do about them once the battle is won? Are they going to obey her orders and just go back home? What is she going to do if they continue raping and pillaging?

...well remember she considers herself the rightful heir to the Iron Throne, so anyone who dies opposing her is a rebel. She'll happily bring freedoms to her followers.

But the Dothraki are just going to slaughter every man, woman, and child there... or am I being Dothrakist?

Well true, she hasn't given her anti-slavery pitch to them yet as far as we know... Smart to save it for after Drogon showed up lol. :D

Khaleesi... Flip Flopper... Wrong for the Seven Kingdoms... Wrong for the Dothraki.

(paid for by the Committee to Keep Lannister Debts Paid)

I think the Dothraki will basically do whatever Dany commands them to at this point.

Yes, that's my Khaleesi! I was a Targeryen loyalist from the start but that whole Slaver's Bay quagmire, let to some small doubts... now she's back!:D

Walder Frey, Lord Edmure AND Benjen Stark! Some nice returning faces this week! Overall it wasn't bad but not the most exciting episode ever, can't say the Samwell Tarly stuff was particularlly riveting.

It was worth it just to see Gilly cleaned up a little. :adore:
I forgot, what was Sam's reason to going back home? Jon send him there for something or other?

Did he say that sword was Valyrian steel? Or did I mishear? As if so I suppose it will come in handy fighting the White Walkers

Dani sure knows how to work an audience, eh? Wowsers.
The High Sparrow is a clever, insidious bastard.
And who hasn't had a family dinner like that?
