Ive always wondered if these could be the Xindi avians we never got to see in Enterprise. Maybe not, but it'd make for an interesting connection.

Aye it would :)
I should be updating this thread shortly...keep an eye out :)

Okay, this was another hard one, if only because its a hard organism to realize. In the episode, Q appears as a floating, semi-transparent 3-headed cobra that is combined into a sphere. Now I get it this is trek, and they wanted to do something "interesting" (and to me they did, hell I loved it), but it's a hard thing to just accept at face value. So I opted this theory...Aldebaran Serpents are creatures from a different realm, that to peoples of this realm, they are perceived in the only way that makes sense for our minds to grasp their shape/existence (in this case for us humans, we see it as a floating ball with cobras coming out of it). My drawing here is meant to realize the serpent as a biological organism in it's native realm. I kept the whole "cobra ball" thing, because as I stated earlier, I just liked it (and hell it's how I perceive it...lol).

My bio degree is only a bachelor's, but I'm thinking that a 2-headed chordate is kinda unlikely. Is the lemur a mutant?
