I wonder if Lex thought the nuke launched at Superman and Doomsday will be enough to kill both of them. That way, both his enemy and his weapon is destroyed. Or maybe he is arrogant enough to think he can control Doomsday.

Having Lex think the nuke will kill them both makes sense. It does come close to killing Superman, until the sun recharges him.

So, if Lex knows that Darkseid is coming, why would he want to kill off the one person who might be able to protect Earth from him?

That cut scene where Lex sees Steppenwolf has a SWAT team coming in, so I suspect this was supposed to be at the end, when Lex is arrested.

Yeah, I think it was probably correctly cut because, unless it happened just before Superman killed Doomsday, it would have really interrupted the tone of the movie at that point. I do wonder if there were originally more hints that Lex was in contact with Apocalypse earlier in the movie.

Clearly, this is a diffrent sort of Lex Luthor, one who just likes watching the world burn, à la the Nolan Joker.

2010
Zack Snyder: Now that Nolan's done, can I make the next Batman movie? Pleeeeeeeaaaase?!
WB: No, we need a new Superman movie now, because we want a cinematic universe, and Batman can't be the center of the because he doesn't have powers. So, make us a Superman movie.
Zack Snyder: Well, okay, but only if I can make it as dark and depressing as a Batman movie!
WB: Fine, fine, whatever.

2013
Zack Snyder: Now that Man of Steel has made money, and we've agreed to put Batman in the next one, can I make Joker the villain? Pleeeeeeeaaaase?!
WB: No, we need him to sell our Suicide Squad movie, plus he doesn't have powers, so he's not formidable enough to take both of those two on. So, make Lex Luthor the villain.
Zack Snyder: Well, okay, but only if I can make him as unhinged, weird, and chaotic as Joker! And only if I can give Batman the opening sequence, and a lot more screen time and development overall! And only if I can kill Superman while I'm at it!
WB: Fine, fine, whatever.

Doomsday would be his answer to Darkseid. If the nuke happened to kill Doomsday first, they'd have a reasonable expectation it would work against Darkseid too.

Whether that's true is another question ....

Clark Kent thought Batman is a dangerous criminal at first. He tried to get stop Batman as a reporter first, writing a story about him. Only after it fails, he tries as Superman.

Why has Superman never interfered in Gotham in two years' time? Not with Batman, but with crime. If the crime rate is so bad and it's that close to Metropolis, why does he spend his time in Metropolis? Not that the distance matters much — he'll go to Mexico easily enough.

Why is the subject of a painful (and not obviously successful) cybernetics experiment given equal weight to an immortal goddess, a superfast freak, and the Man from Atlantis? I mean, yeah, I know who Vic is. But consider what we actually saw in that footage. Certainly nothing superhuman.

Vic appeared to be cut off at the waist. His entire renal system and a good part of his digestive system were gone and it didn't look like anything was attached to take care of all that. How did he even survive long enough for Silas to run the process?

If that were the case, why does he complain in public about WayneEnt giving him nothing/never helping him? (I forget the exact wording.)

I didn't remember that. I was wondering why Bruce didn't know Keefe wasn't cashing in his checks. I figured, since Lex was trying stay under Batman's radar, he would've kept Keefe's checks a secret until it's too late for Batman to stop his plan.

Superman doesn't seem like a crime fighter here. He probably sees himself more of a firefighter than a police officer, only rescuing people from danger. The few times he did stop crimes are when he stopped Zod's army, Africa, and Batman's car chase. My guess is that he doesn't want to get involved in criminal cases unless he feels it is absolutely necessary because much of the world did not trust him. In fact, just showing up and saving Lois in Africa somehow lead people to blame him for the violence that happened near him. Maybe, after his sacrifice and resurrection, people will trust him more, and he can stop more crime without any public outcry.

Stop what plan? The missing checks/notes to Wayne weren't supposed to be a secret, he wanted Bruce to get those notes. It was only due to Wayne staffers not telling him that Bruce didn't see them until the proverbial last minute.

Why did he save Lois and leave everyone else to be killed? What a super man.

A+ !

It is FLAWESOME! Really my only problem is with the use of Lois, not just with BvS but in MoS too. Amy Adams is a wonderful actress and a personal favorite but she isn't used/written well in these movies. :( Loved Gal as Wonder Woman and can't wait for that movie!!! :D :adore:

Really? Adams' Lois Lane is easily one of the best parts of both movies for me. She's hands down my favorite version of the character.

I prefer her over previous versions of the character and love Amy Adams! :adore: It is just they don't seem to know what to do with the character and in both movies she is placed in various situations just because!
