Spoilers Supergirl - Season 1

I think this is where 13-year-old Kal-El comes in, whatever would be up with that....

Kara exhibited a new power this week: Laying It on Super-Thick.

Well, on the bright side, at least Alex Danvers in Kryptonite armor is a villain Superman never faced. Yay, creativity!
True, and it's also an enemy that Non didn't face at the end of this episode - which is kind of strange, since presumably Alex still had it and was awfully worried about John and Kara going alone....

It's the Baby from the Lois & Clark finale. Which origin was never revealed because the show was cancelled....

Deja Vu? ;)

I doubt it. I glad they did not have cliffhanger revolving Myriad. At least we got resolution on that. I was hoping at least to get an over the shoulder shot of Superman. Maybe with him and Kara hugging without seeing his face.

So apparently Kryptonians can't fly in space under their own power in this version...which makes you wonder how Superman goes on offworld excursions, as referenced last episode.

"You can't do it--There's no atmosphere, no gravity, no thrust...!"
"Unless, you know, you guys get me a spacesuit...."
"We'll always honor your sacrifice!"

So they finally named it- Omegahedron. Its a massive power source just like in the movie.

I laughed when she said one could power a whole city.

My money's on Beppo

I'm hoping for Streaky.

Perhaps, like in Superman: The Animated Series (or like Alex did here), he uses his escape pod as a spaceship.

Did it? I don't remember that.

That's the backstory from the pilot, and seen again in the opening of the first Indigo episode. Kara's pod and Fort Rozz were both trapped in the Phantom Zone for 24 years, then Indigo accessed the pod's controls and used it to somehow pull Fort Rozz out of the PZ, whereupon they both crashlanded on Earth.

Speaking of male characters we haven’t seen much, I have to ask: Do you plan to cast Superman? He’s been showing up quite a bit in recent episodes.
It’s always a conversation. I’ll come back to the answer that this is Supergirl’s show, and it’s her point of view. But he lives in our world, and at some point, we’d definitely like to meet him.

For a moment there, I thought Myriad was going to blow my head up. Now I've got a migraine. One thing I've noticed about this series is that there's a lot of touchy feely moments, like when Kara was possibly saying goodbye to her friends for the last time. And that's actually not a bad thing; I like the drama. I wish more shows had that.

Could the person in the pod end up being Kara's doppelganger, like the future Power Girl? In JLU, Supergirl had an evil clone, Galatea, who looked just like PG.

This was a nice finale.
I know it was a little mushy, but actually liked them using the symbol of hope that Kara has become as the way to defeat Mryriad.
I did not expect Eliza to be the one to show up and end the fight, but it was nice moment, having their mom be the one who brought Alex to her senses.
I loved J'Onn tearing Indigo in half.
Apparently I was wrong about Non being redeemed.
So was the omegahedron purely from the movie or did it come from the comics too?
I was glad that they didn't have James forget about the kiss, so I'm hoping they'll actually be together when the next seasons starts.
I was surprised Kara couldn't survive in space since Krytopians flying around unassisted in space is a thing in the comics.
I liked Kara's goodbyes to everyone.
I loved Alex saving her.
Her promotion was another nice moment.
I knew as soon as she walked over to the pod that they were going to cut away before we saw what was inside it.

Since the mid 80s ( Crisis On Infinite Earths/Man of Steel) Superman has often been shown to need an air supply to work in outer space.

In the old days Kal-El could hold his breath for weeks or months to fly to other planets.

Post crisis he could only hold his breath for hours.

What a pussy.
