there isn't a new thought presented anywhere in the film, just retreads of ideas from ANH-ESB-ROTJ
I wouldn't go that far.
TFA is a rehash of many elements from the original film, but that's not necessarily a bad thing so long as that rehash was executed well and the film was entertaining. And it was.
And I would go that far. And have. And will again. Not an original idea to be had.
A Ewan McGregor Obi-Wan film is the best thing that can happen with the standalone movie concept, but I'll gladly take a story detailing how the Rebellion got their hands on the plans to the first Death Star.
Poe Dameron #1 came out today. It was pretty good. Like in the movie, Poe is really funny and charming. I like this character so much more than I ever expected to prior to the movie coming out!
Poe would be the world's greatest drinking buddy. Who wouldn't want to go pub crawling with that guy?![]()
I completely agree and I can't wait to see where they take the character.I watched it a third time tonight, and found even more to love about it. It is my opinion that Daisy Ridley is the best new Star Wars breakout star. I love Finn, love Poe, but Rey is the winner of the best new Star Wars character award.
That's just because MTV is garbage.I've already seen a few people take cheap shots at the film winning MTV Movie Awards by making sarcastic comments, but it's still an award for excellence as voted on by the public. It may not be an Oscar or a Golden Globe but they're awards that will be acknowledged alongside the film's other positive honors.
