Pretty sure it wasn't.Was the gym seen in any episode other then Charlie X?
Vic has mentioned they were building the medical lab, but since he's mentioned it that can't be the spoiler.

Interesting idea. I was thinking in terms of a set, but I could be wrong. My first guess was the Galactic Barrier, but it could be any number of things.
As I recall, he said it was seen in some episodes and mentioned in others. Care to tell us your guess?
I hope it's two Kirks. At about 34:30 of the podcast Vic says there is an element to the story of Ep. 6 not seen in any other production outside of TOS. It is something seen in several episodes of TOS, but not seen before in any fan production. He also states Ep. 6 is action oriented and that he will be releasing stills from the episode as teasers beyond the two he has already released (Kirk looking beat up on the bridge and Spock firing a phaser).
So it's something seen more than once throughout the series yet not seen in a fan production. And he specifically qualifies that by saying it's not the Engineering set which he also says hasn't been recreated to the same extent in a fan production.
Thinking about this shows of the era generally didn't have endings with a sense of finality, but it wasn't totally unknown. And it was something we started seeing more of in the '70s.
The Fugitive had a series' ending. M*A*S*H, All In The Family and Mary Tyler Moore also had endings although that was later about a decade after TOS.
If TOS had gone five years then it would have ended in 1971 when the series' ending idea might have started taking root.
It would be interesting to know if GR ever had any vague ideas about how the series might end if it managed to have gone five years.
I hope it's two Kirks.![]()
STC keeps saying it's the first fan series to build a full Engineering set, but that confuses me. Didn't NV/P2 manage to complete theirs a few months earlier?
Personally, I'm not fussed about the fact that TOS in its time almost certainly would not have done a series finale. They also wouldn't have done an episode set entirely in an alternate universe, but "Fairest of Them All" was brilliant. I'll be happy as long as it's a great story and made in the style and spirit of TOS.
Yep.I just want it to "feel" like the original and not have blatant references like the Klingon Ridges Virus, "Archer mapped this area 20 years ago," and Old Scotty Reminisces.
I don't remember reading that anywhere, just that they were building it. In fact, I don't think that I knew that NVP2 was building the engine room until after I knew that STC was doing it. Oh, well.STC keeps saying it's the first fan series to build a full Engineering set, but that confuses me. Didn't NV/P2 manage to complete theirs a few months earlier?
It doesn't matter who did it first, not to me, anyway. I'm glad they've both done it and are using the sets without being money grubbing weasels.![]()
NBC would've thought that strange...... And it's not beyond reason that CBS could've ended the show with Kirk's promotion and disemarkment.
Ha! That should've stuck in my head since NV does that retro NBC lead-in.NBC would've thought that strange...![]()

I thought they had finished that...Also, the past picks I saw of NV did not have the forced perspective. Maybe that is done now?
