Don't you judge me, @RedForman !
I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet but has Peters followed Burnett's shameless glomming on to the success of the completion, release and positive reception of Horizon in it?
Yeah. I thought that was quite funny, especially how uncomfortable Kirk acted when he realized he was rambling on. Although I thought the look was more of a WTF moment for Kahn. I also liked how quickly he got himself and Kirk refocused.Seeing as we're talking about ID - anybody notice how Khan roll's his eyes and has a look of disbelief when Kirk tells him how he did the aerojump in the previous film?
Even a madman would seemingly not do that...!
That ain't just you. You're bang on. Don't tell the story of a battle by playing out some kind of Command and Conquer in Space. Tell it from the effect of the war on the people you've made your audience care about. Trek was normally fairly good at that.To me, reading the review of the leaked "Axanar" script, it read like something that wanted to tell a story of an event without realizing the best stories do that by humanizing the event through focusing on how the events affect and change the protagonist. I don't want a documentary on Eisenhower planning D-Day, I want "Saving Private Ryan". But that's just me.
Could be worse. Could be on Youtube. You guys have stronger stomachs than I do. I don't think I could stand to listen to an hour of Peters and Burnett jacking each other off.
2.) "Love letter" - Where was the last time we heard that with Star Trek?
Either when they made "Relics" or "Trials and Tribble-ations"
You are listening to Axanar podcasts?
Might I suggest a refreshing brace of painsticks instead?

Neil
The Data scenes almost made Generations watchable.Or something from Frocus III........??
I'm pretty sure CBS has made it quite clear the one thing you're not supposed to do is make any goddamn money off the Star Trek IP.
If they can't make any goddamn money off the Star Trek IP then it wouldn't be a "Professional Film".
