Jeph Loeb is going to deny it until it happens. That being said, I always agreed that people shouldn't take it as a given. Future ideas beyond what's locked in stone are all just ideas.
Plus, the original rumor (where Jeph Loeb spoke up to deny it) was that they were abandoning Iron Fist for a Punisher series. That always struck me as implausible.

I'm not to surprised to hear this. I was a little surprised that they might be working on another show, when Iron First and Defenders haven't even been done yet. If they do another batch of different shows I could see it happening though.
It may not happen now but once they have done Luke Cage, Danny Rand and then The Defenders (which should put them somewhere at the tail end of 2017 or even into 2018) they might revisit him. If Netflix Punisher turns out to be this huge thing everyone expects him to be they might even squeeze him in between, lord knows he doesn't rely on any superhero to compliment him, it just takes an equally impressive villain and off you go (and it's too bad that the Netflix shows are tied loosely into the MCU, would have loved to see a white Col. Fury appear in Punisher and be R rated).

Not impressed with the Elektra trailer. Hopefully we'll get the good stuff in the show, including something closer to her classic outfit.
Looking forward to seeing Electric Nachos.
I would be amazed if we see her classic costume - her running around in an outfit with her arse cheeks hanging doesn't fit the series or tone.
More likely it would be a stylized martial arts outfit that did fit the tone while evoking the original costume - the same way Captain America's battle gear looks a lot like a Cap costume, but still does away with all the more problematic characteristics of the original.
Considering they apparently are really including the mystical side judging by season one Nobu and Gao, that's something I probably would expect to see at some point.
That trailer is the best one yet. Can't wait to see this!

So glad I decided to watch this show. That was a hell of a trailer. Can't wait till release date.

2. I like that they haven't abandoned the real crime elements the first season had with the Yakuza
3. I wonder if they'll recreate the scene from Bendis's run where Matt fought a hundred Yakuza

This was my thoughts as well. Given the stated facts that people don't stay dead in comics (usually) as well as some of the, shall we say, otherworldly elements of the series, Nobu's death may have been exaggerated
Also, that new trailer was epic. I've watched it multiple times trying to get a sense of all the action and implications. Quite a crazy ride that is forming.
Resurrection is old hat to the Hand in the comics.
