A remark was made about how far Paris has come as a medic. Early on he was bumbling around in sick bay and now he's successfully delivering and reviving a premature infant. Who was the father of that baby? Was it the scientist? I missed that somewhere.
There is always that ONE guy (sometimes its a woman) who stands in the way of getting things done because of ego or paranoia. I'm sure there is a trope name for that.
For the most part he liked this episode. Wasn't too upset about Carey simply because he never formed a real attachment to him. I think he might have been more upset if it had been Vorik.
We shouldn't go exploring because someone might die? Don't most explorers accept that risk?
