So Scott is now embracing the Alien! Haha. I get the feeling he's trying to muscle out Bloomkamp and his Alien 5.
So in other words, the movie we should have got (and the Dark Horse comic we did get) 25 years ago.
God, I hate Hollywood sometimes.
Did Blomkamp say he's sore about it? I am, but is he?So in other words, the movie we should have got (and the Dark Horse comic we did get) 25 years ago.

Alien3 is amazing (well, the Assembly Cut is), so I'm happy with how things have turned out. As much as I enjoy Blomkamp's eye for design, I really have no desire to watch his Aliens fan fiction that he wants to make just because he, like a bunch of other nerds, are sore about a couple of characters dying.

Ridley Scott said:There was always this discussion: Is Alien, the character, the beast, played out or not? We’ll have them all: egg, face-hugger, chest-burster, then the big boy. I think maybe we can go another round or two.
Sounds to me like some Fox executives had a sit-down with Ridley. "No more bait-and-switch. No more going off on a tangent. We're not waiting two more films for what the audience really wants to see. Either you let the bugs out, or your little riff on Chariots of the Gods stops right here. We've got Blomkamp on speed-dial."
