Carolina 49 - Arizona 15. I didn't see a blowout coming.
Congrats to the Broncos. While there were some iffy calls (for both teams actually) several times, Patriots really fucked it up.
It was the first time all season he had been under relentless pressure.I have a feeling this Super Bowl is going to look a lot like Broncos/Seahawks but who knows. The Denver/NE game was bizarre in that I don't think I've ever seen Brady look that bad under pressure. It was like he was seeing ghosts out there at times and feeling the pressure before it really got there.
About time. The greatest parlor trick Belichick and Co. pulled off this year was building an O-line off of almost dead vets, castoffs, and catering truck drivers. And depressingly, they only sent 3 most of the time. I see some high draft capital being spent on the O-Line this year.
I can't embed the tweet (hopefully that ability will be added at some point), but Sara Walsh from ESPN tweeted a stat from research that Brady hadn't been hit more than 12 times in any game during the regular season, but in yesterday's game he was hit 23 times. It was the first time all season he had been under relentless pressure.
I saw that this morning on ESPN. That's a significant stat, and yet another reason I am depressed that the Dolphins D-Line sucked hind end this year.I can't embed the tweet (hopefully that ability will be added at some point), but Sara Walsh from ESPN tweeted a stat from research that Brady hadn't been hit more than 12 times in any game during the regular season, but in yesterday's game he was hit 23 times.
