I'm still busy with Section 31 Disavowed. So I can wait for it a little longer.... As you said, so little time....

Really enjoyed that one - I didn't love Bashir when the show aired but he's grown on me. Heck, because of the books pretty much everyone I meet in the books becomes a friend. The books give me time to develop affinities and invest in these characters- and Bashir's has taken a decidedly interesting turn!

Didn't like DS9 when I first watched it. I learned to love the characters by reading the novels. What a great job the writers can do sometimes.
I also love the character growth in Kirsten's relaunch novels. And the saga still continues. For this I'm glad.

Ditto about DS9, loved the Voyager crew from the start and love what Beyer is doing with them now - every new Voyager book is like a family reunion.

A Pocket full of Lies is now available on Amazon.de. I've just ordered it. :bolian:
My copys is scheduled to arrive on February 5th. That's 16 days. I don't know if I can make it.. It's.. Too long.

I'm on Chapter 16, and this book is sure throwing up a lot of red herrings. Just when you think you know where the story y is going, wham, something unexpected shows up to change the course.

Just noticed that the thread title doesn't say spoilers. I will change it now.

Please be aware anyone reading this now, that there will be open spoilers in this thread as people start to review it.

Well, for once, amazon haven't done their usual trick of deleting my preorder. Yet.

Scheduled for 26th so I will be reading next week.

I'm up to Chapter 27, almost done the book. I have three words for it:

Pulse-Pounding!

Classic!

This book belongs up there with The Return, Spectre, Q-In-Law, The Eugenics Wars: The Rise And Fall Of Khan Noonien Singh Vols 1&2, The Entropy Effect, The Escape, Echoes, Reunion & Vendetta.

Funny you mention that, I have the exact same opposite. Never really liked Voyager that much, but Kirsten Beyer made me love these characters so much more than I ever did on the show.

Today I've learned not to trust Amazon. A Pocket Full of Lies was scheduled to arrive on the 5th of February and arrived today. Huzzah!
My copy is in my hands now, too. Nobody wants to be the last one to get it of course...;)

Sort of seems like people like the new characters of VOY more than the old cast.

Not this person; I loved the Voyager crew on TV, and more than ever reading of them in the novels, pre-and-post Endgame. (The new characters for me are all right, mostly, lol.)
