Hello, Furries!

No no nononono I did not draw him. :p I commissioned him. The artist is linked in the description.
Oh, I'm sorry, I thought you had drawn him. Still, he is handsome, and the artist is rather good! There's an artist I love who draws such great work. There's an image he made, the one below, that still makes my heart skip a beat:

Um, hope I'm not veering too ot, but what was the result of THAT?

Nothing really, there was a fence between them and the swan didn't care. The pony just seemed aggitated there was a big weird white thing near it and kept kicking it's hooves up. I have no idea why a swan was even sitting in the middle of a field on it's own so far inland.

Thanks - was just hoping it wasn't a redux of cows stomping on geese - both swans and ponies would make pretty formidable opponents!

I grew up with Rescue Rangers, Animaniacs, American Tale etc so there was a range of 90's mouse, rat, racoon, squirrel, mink characters when I started taking an interest.

That dropped off years ago, you rarely find rodentia anthros in popular culture.
Reply Necromancy! Is that still one of your main interests? And you left off a big one (Master Splinter).

Given how little it turns up, I'm not sure. I tend towards liking characters with wings these days.

Ah, well. Whatever floats your boat. :techman:

(//not really)

It certainly seems that way! :D Only surprised that there's not a couple more around here somewhere.

Tangently related, Turbo, the animated Trek caters to your interest by depicting avian sapients in two different episodes, "Yesteryear" and "Jihad".

Sincerely,

Bill

I suspect there's more, but the stigma that has developed around the fandom has "shamed" many into silence.

Sincerely,

Bill

I'm one of those who embraces his shame, and exposes that shame in public. :D

I've noticed there appears to be an unspoken alliance of sorts between furries and Klingon cosplayers. You see things like Klingon vs. Furry bowling and chess competitions, Klingon parties appear to be a mainstay of some furry conventions, and I know I've seen a video of a furry spinning a bat'leth wile acting as Tawi'Yan at a Klingon wedding.

A lot of these seem to be by the same group of people, but I like to imagine that there really is a global alliance between us. It's fun for me because one of my closest friends is a furry; if I'm invited to his wedding, perhaps I'll ask if I can go in uniform ;)
