People who worked on the shows and movies

Is there anybody on this website who either worked on the movies and/or shows or knows somebody who did. If so, does anybody have some stories that they can tell about it.

Several. Rich Sternbach is here. Dennis here wrote "Tin Man" for TNG and worked on the episode "First Contact". But if you search the web for interviews with them you'd probably find more of what you're looking for than on here.

Also Dave Mack who has a couple of DS9 eps to his credit, along with several Trek novels.

There's some guy on here named Greg Cox that wrote some Trek novels, too. Oh, and Christopher Bennett.

Thanks, but I never worked on the actual shows and movies, which I what I think the OP is asking about.

All my contributions to Trek have been in prose.

Mike Sussman makes an appearance now and again.

And yes it's true that William Shatner did post here once.

Chase Masterson did too, until a moderator banned her.

Maybe what I meant was the people (if there are any) posting here themselves. Also, how long was Shatner here?

I believe real William Shatner posted here maybe two or three times. It was many years ago.

I have a memory that it was confirmed, and he actually had a gold username.

Doug Drexler was a makeup artist on TNG, he switched to the art department (pre/post production, set design, etc) when DS9 was launched, and did the same for Enterprise.
He has a lot of fantastic stories on facebook, and on his old blog, www.drexfiles.wordpress.com (can only be found using the internet wayback machine).
I don't believe he posts here though.

^ They just don't check the boards often enough to see this thread and respond to it.

I remember Shatner; I think that was around 2002. I don't know if it was actually him personally, or some hired PR staff.

His daughter was the one who set it up, IIRC. She could have been doing the posting I suppose. It was a very brief appearance.

As for Dennis, you actually can't get rid of the guy!

:p

PS: My son and I are watching TNG together, and we watched Tin Man and First Contact last week. Nicely done!
