As I said. Films 2-6 feature a loss of limb to light saber.

Oh you're counting bit characters, I'm not.

Anakin alone loses limbs in 3 seperate films as well as a few other main characters throughout the series.

But did he lose anything in either Hope or Menace?

Maul lost both his legs I don't know if it counts since he died though.

If his survival is canon, that counts too.

The Clone Wars cartoon series is canon so Maul survived.

I was seriously expecting Finn to lose an arm in his duel with Kylo (or, if Abrams and Kasdan decided to be 'clever', a leg), so I was surprised when it appeared he didn't.

Rey didn't dismember Kylo, but it did look like she slashed him across the face with her last strike. I guess he'll have a better reason to wear that mask in Episode VIII.

While there are many characters that sustain lightsaber injuries throughout the saga, the main character only loses their hand during the middle film.

So I fully expect Rey to have a robot hand by the end of the next movie.

Finn took a lightsaber to the spine. Maybe he'll get some nice cybernetic legs for the next movie.
