ENT Forum Get To Know You Thread Pt 2

I have a month off starting from next week, and will probably do a full rewatch of Enterprise, which I don't think I've done for a couple of years. I'm looking forward to it, bearing in mind the insights and opinions I've picked up from this forum. I will once again resist the urge to write fanfic after sitting through the lamentable TATV!

Is anyone else planning a rewatch soon?

Don't know if I'll do a complete re-watch, but I just recently watched 'Broken Bow' on Netflix to check out the quality. It was awesome! Enjoy your re-watch!

Yes, thinking further on it, a COMPLETE rewatch in a month might be a bit much. But I will definitely celebrate the holidays by watching some of my favourite Star Trek!

(Who needs Star Wars? )

All children need a little Star Wars. Adults however require a steady diet of trek :-)

I haven't done a solid marathon of ENT episodes in a while but I did rewatch two of them the other day and I still like them as much now as I used to. A lot of ENT episodes have a pretty long shelf life and are just as much fun years later as they were the first time you saw them.

My name is Denny, I live in London, UK and love all things Star Trek. Love the Enterprise and its a shame it lost the viewers, Its repeated all the time on British tv, seeing it again and again the show was not bad, it got better with time.

It's a Trip thread.

If all those previous threads about him were any indication, you'll get plenty of replies. :)

Hi. I dunno what to say introuncing myself other than, did I seriously just saw the Big Show all painted green as a slave trader? Saying you are now property of the orion syndicate. Lol I think it is the big show wooow

I'm a big fan of ST: Enterprise, it's arguably my favorite of all Star Treks, at the very least right up there with TNG. It had more genuine exploration, especially in the beginning, than any other series and that is what I love about Star Trek.
About me.. I'm 29, male, I live and work in New York City.

I don't think that Star Trek is perfect, but it's the best show we've got. I'm also not a big fan of long over-arching stories about interspecie wars, because I don't think that they're realistic. Futurism is one of my interests, I like to follow technological progress and extrapolate, I'm also a Transhumanist - I believe that humanity is now taking its evolution into its own hands via artificial enhancements. I realize that fully realistic science fiction about distant future wouldn't necessarily be interesting from a conflict perspective. For instance, I don't think that people will have finite life spans in the next century. I've also always had an interest in space exploration, it has even played an important role in my career.

Professionally I'm a manager at a media/advertising company. I used to write some science fiction - was never successful doing it, but I do want to write one fan fiction episode set in the Star Trek universe.

Yep. It was officially cancelled a little over 11 years ago. The announcement was made in February of 2005.
