Ghost Whisperer meets (less sexy) Greys Anatomy.
It's much spookier than Ghost Whisperer, but not as ultradramatic as Greys Anatomy.
Technical note, Saving Hope is not (always) about the dead.
Under aesthetic, or in a coma like Shanks, people generate invisible, immaterial avatars who walk 'round like regular people until they wake up. Shank's avatar wears the same ghost-tuxedo every week as he helps surgeries by "talking down" panicking avatars (ghosts) who are freaking out about their issues. Later when patients wake up they don't remember their ghost adventures with Shanks.
I do like Saving Hope on an "it's charming" level, but an interesting development I have been noticing is, that as the show continues, the Producers are making less time for the supernatural, distancing themselves from the ghost of the week scam and trying as hard as they can to make this just a hospital drama getting the camera in close on bizarre medical proceedures, which is fine because there are some very well developed secondary characters who are all about the medicine and think that they live in a rational world.

Here is something amusing to watch. A very young Tom Cavanagh auditioning for a first season episode of Sliders "The Weaker Sex". Which was about a world in which traditional gender roles were reversed. He did not get the role.

I got to meet Tom Cavanagh several times, while he was filming Ed. They filmed in a closed down bowling alley in Northvale NJ and I was managing a Starbucks in Closter NJ. They would get drinks for the crew all the time. Sometimes I had to close the store because we had 50 or more drinks to make. The principle actors would stop in as well, especially Cavanagh.
Seeing so much of him in action, I'm getting more on board with the theory that Zoom is Henry.

I wonder how long it will before we learn anything more about Zoom? One of the producers said John Wesley Shipp has filmed as much this season as last so far....
His appearances including all the flashbacks certainly were greater last year than his single episode this year.... that we know of. I would think whomever was in Zoom's suit tonight is the actual actor who will be unmasked later. Why release an official picture were the eyes are so clear if its just a stunt man?
What if it's Barry Allen from Earth 2 but played by John Wesley Shipp. As an older Barry, from the old Flash series.

Another great episode. The fight with Zoom was brutal, as was Zoom's little trip with Barry throughout the city. It was also nice to see a bit more about Earth 2 Wells. Its a bit funny that, with Linda now knowing the secret, Patty (Barry's love interest) seems to be the only regularly recurring character who doesn't know Barry's secret now. So, kind of like Iris last season, although they have better reasons not to tell Patty. Overall, Flash has been awesome all season (and all of last season), and I don't think its slowing down any time soon.
Carrying Barry like a bag of flour all through the main set pieces of the show was certainly jarring.
I took that as a nod to DC's Flashpoint, the alternate timeline created when Barry saved his mother from the Reverse Flash. In that, Batman was Thomas Wayne, driven to become a deadly vigilante by the murder of his son Bruce. The (Green) Arrow has always been a surrogate Batman, particularly in CW shows that don't have permission to use the actual Batman because he's taken by the movie division.
It was a set photo without the special effects added. The publicity department may have released it without the producers' okay. It wouldn't be the first time that the people in charge of publicity for a work of fiction have spoiled something that its creators wanted to keep secret.
Anyway, it bugs me that the escape of the real Dr. Light and her plan to replace Linda weren't followed up on. I have a suspicion that when Zoom abducted Linda, he actually swapped her out for Dr. Light, who's now impersonating her. Although if that were so, why would she have gone to stay with friends in Coast City, effectively removing her from the narrative?
I got teh impression that the real Dr. Light didn't want to kill Barry or work for Zoom, os she either returned to Earth 2 or we'll see her again later on. It's odd though that she got her powers though technological means like the original male version of the character did, instead of having real powers like her female comic book counterpart. But then it made it easier for Linda to replace her. I wonder if that means we'll see a battle of the two Dr. Lights in the future.
I was waiting for Cisco to comment on the fact that she was naked as she escaped, but alas he never did.

I would think it blipped out of existence just like Thawne did (they were from the same time period), but no confirmation of that.
