Unrelated, but I can't help but think that the "It's true, all of it, etc" thing that everyone loves isn't in the film.
Or at least, not the way it's presented. My guess is that the "All of it" moment is about something else, (a mystery uncovered via hologram?) and the other dialogue happens differently.
If I'm right I hope a lot of people don't cry too hard about it. And if I'm wrong, I'll try not to cry too hard either.

It may well be that "Luke turning evil" is one of the theories that characters in the movie have about him, as they try to figure out what happened and where he disappeared to for all these years.
And maybe for much of the movie it's something JJ tries to suggest actually did happen... until we finally meet Luke at the end where he has some huge heroic moment that proves he's still on the good side.

I think you're probably reading to much into that. These kinds of commercials typically have very little to do with the actual movie.
As for Luke going evil, I find it very doubtful. I'm not going to say it's 100% impossible, but it just strikes me as fans digging for a big twist that probably doesn't even exist.
I really hope it isn't true as it would totally destroy the happy ending of the OT. I don't mind if things turned to shit later, but I'd really like to keep that everything in that ending exactly as it appeared.

The Legends stuff seemed to kind of go in that direction, with Luke's nephew Jacen also falling to the Dark Side, and then his descendant Cade also struggled pretty seriously with the Dark Side.
