It must be something with longhaired cats. My Mother's black version does pretty much the same thing with shoes.

Forgive me, but statements like that make me nearly snap my neck from the "double take".
During my preteen and early teen years, my camera was one of those Kodak "Instamatic" pocket cameras that had a fixed focus and used 110 film (less than half the height and width of 35mm film). 
I would have been thrilled to get a shot as crisp and detailed as the one depicting Junior wearing the shoes.

Ha! I think, in the kitty world, it's a sign of affection. At least that's what I tell myself, because Junior does that to me all the time.

My cat has been doing this a lot lately. I'm fine with the cuddling; I just wish she would cuddle without her butt in my face.
All 3 of mine do that to me. 
She looks a lot like Riker, just without the tiger striping.

Photographic evidence of the last time I allow Junior to play with my bag o' grocery bags. When I went to pick them up, I discovered that he had peed all over them--and consequently, all over the carpet. Yay. Just what my house needed--MORE cat pee.
