Sherlock Series 4 Sets Shooting Dates

As expected, it's next Spring, with work on it only starting now; so it's doubtful that any work on the next series of DW is currently taking place.

That's three months of shooting and if we take that as being March to May, it's going to be at least June before cameras roll on DW again. So my guess is at most a Special or two next year with the next full series back in the Spring of 2017.

At least with four comics a month from Titan and Big Finish ramping up their New Series releases it shouldn't feel like a completely empty gap.

So now apparently Capaldi may be leaving next year and series ten will have both a new Doctor and companion, and might air in early 2017.

DW was still airing in Spring in 2008. Now, when did we have that year of Specials? Oh, yeah, 2009, when no series was filmed in the summer of 2008...

Then in 2012 we had the shift to autumn, with a longer gap between filming of the seasons...

Well, that sucks! The BBC really needs to get their act together. In some ways, they come across as a bunch of baffoons. Sherlock should not impact the production of DW. Ditto for the Olympics. It's not like they were unware of it.
