Jennifer Lien In Legal Trouble Again

Did the neighbours know who she was?

Given the ratings and the time since she was last in anything...probably not.

I guess that they did know.

When she got arrested for reckless driving shortly before the recent events, there were comments on the Roane County com site and on the 105.7 news site about it.

I remember that someone wrote a comment like "Oh, she's an actress" so I guess that in a small town like that, it's soon public. There's always someone who have watched Star Trek or so.

It's. Been. 20. Years.

Things like a "Hollywood past" never remain a secret, esp. if you used your real name.

Each time Lien was arrested there were news on the internet, where she always was called "former Star Trek actress". I guess that even the most backwardy neighbours might have stumbled across the news at that point.

Never underestimate the curiosity and ingenuity of your neighbourhood in small towns.

It bugs me when people assume drugs or mental illness based on how a person looks in a photo or how they've aged. Saw people writing that based on convention photos before this incident even came up. She might be a nice person or not, we've got no idea what the truth of these events are.

Which drugs?

I don't mean to be mean, and it's certainly a massive generalization, but the drugs that make you the most crazy seeming, also make you very, very thin.

Well, yeah.

Taking meth and eating a lot of KFC will still mean you gain weight. Depends on your diet, I suppose.

But I bet it's not as good as her diet when she was contractually obligated to weigh no more than 125.

Not necessarily. It depends on the person, but trying to maintain that weight can be equally unhealthy - it will just be in a different way.

20 year olds are tiny and and I hate them.

40 year olds are not mistaken for 20 year olds without extreme luck or effort.

If meth makes you forget to eat for three or four days at a time, you may lose weight.

Of course maybe she's just a recreational meth user rather than a habitual meth user or a chronic meth user.

Forgetting to eat for 4 days, once or a twice a year is not going to turn you into a rake.

Or this is maybe just maybe possible, but maybe Jennifer is not a meth user at all and has the typical body type of a 40 year old who has had a baby?

Sure it seems cruel to say she's too fat to be a meth addict, but using meth could shave off two thirds of her body weight and then kill her, it's actually a good thing to be too fat to be a meth addict, because it means that you are probably not about to die.

Death is not cool, y'know?

(I've talked myself into getting KFC for lunch.)

A drug addiction professional (treating - not taking) in an article I read said she had classic signs of drug abuse in her face. I don't remember who or where, so take that info as something said without real confirmation.

Somewhere along the way we got into a debate on how women's boobs shouldn't be shown in public in the USA. I am firmly opposed to such a statement. Let them be free! I'd bet most Americans could also care less. We're not prudes, for the most part.

It's Lien's behavior and mannerisms, whilst unleashing her boobs and butt, that caused the problem with her neighbors with their children present. She isn't going to be on a sex offender list or anything like that. She's not going to prison. She may see some county jail time and wind up on probation for an assault charge or indecent exposure but that's about it. On these charges alone. This does not take into consideration her prior felonies for fleeing and assaulting police and any bond conditions that she might have had imposed on her from that incident.

4) Flashing your breasts. You can get arrested for indecent exposure in California if you flash your breasts in front of a lot of people in order to gratify yourself or offend somebody else, according to the Shouse Law Group, a group of California criminal defence lawyers. And indecent exposure can land you on the sex offender registry.

Again state by state, It's possible that Tennessee might be more lenient than California.

From that list from the link: "Having consensual sex with a teenager, even if you’re a teenager, too."

This is really sick. This is something I expect from a third class scifi-movie but not from a civilized state.

So having a normal healthy development of your sexuality is a crime in Georgia? I can only feel pity for those children who will get haunted for years only because they were normal human beings.

Years ago the European Union tried to "harmonize" the EU laws to US standards. Luckily it never came to that.

That may well be an old law still on the books that is no longer enforced. I haven't heard of any teens being arrested for that lately. I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't an early attempt to prevent teen pregnancy.
