The Last Leg
In the meantime, can you or anyone else recommend an analog to The West Wing? Eventually it will run out of episodes, and I'd rather like to be prepared. . . .
I'm still looking for it. Madame Secretary isn't quite adequate as a replacement. I lost interest in House of Cards. Veep is good but a comedy.
I've started my first-ever viewing of "The West Wing" courtesy of Netflix. This series is beautifully, and for the most part realistically done, although I question a few of the plot elements. (I've only gotten as far as the Presidential Classroom episode--no spoilers, please!)

"House of Cards" it is delicious and well-everythinged!
Just follow Sorkin.
The West Wing is not good because of the subject matter, or even the actors.
It's written well, for adults.

HIjol, I had two very different experiences with "House of Cards"...which version(s) did you watch?
I watched the first two seasons of the American version with Kevin Spacey. I found/find the series compelling and well-written and acted.
Guy Gardener, thank you; I will certainly follow Sorkin.
At the risk of sounding philosophical, how do you define good scripts that are written well for adults? I see so much material out there that relies on little more than crassness and shock value, and The West Wing isn't like that. (Nor is Trek, for that matter.)
