Skyrim has some weird glitches. I'm playing on PS3, and I got the ransom glitch. basically, your spouse gets kidnapped, you read the note, but almost immediately the quest is declared finished. when you go to find them, they're basically moonwalking. You can get them back home, but they still walk weird and don't interact with objects anymore. The only solution for the glitch on consoles? Make the spouse a follower (assuming you can), then beat them so badly (but not to death) that they leave your service I mean, it worked, but it was really weird. Especially since, as soon as they leave your service, they keep acting like everything is normal. This is one of the weirder glitch and glitch solutions I've had in this playthrough.
Damn! That is weird. I don't think I've run into that. I've been revisiting Far Cry 4 (taking a wee break from Destiny), and I recently got Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris for free via PS Plus. It is the only kind of game now that features Lara Croft the way I love her....and unfortunately, except for cutscenes, she is now viewed from a distance. Also been doing the Giant Monsters thing on Resident Evil Revelations 2. Need to revisit Alien Isolation soon as well.
I'm moderately curious about this game by Santa Monica Studios/The Chinese Room called "Everyone's Gone to the Rapture". (I think that's the title.) It's about a group of people at the end of the world, supposedly. The best way to hunt and kill a rhino in Far Cry 4 is to ride an elephant. Chase the rhino down and bash it to death. Saves ammo, and the rhinos are plenty skeered of elephinks. Best way to take bell towers: Grab a buzzer (one man helicopter), land it on the upper deck where the radio transmitter is, and voilla... you're in and out in a few seconds.
Lately, I've been playing more casual games that can be played for short sessions that takes only a couple of minutes. Games like Fallout Shelter, Hearthstone, MtG.
Just stuck Gears of War to try on my Win10 machine. After a few title updates, it seems to work ok though I'll have to look at logging on as it won't save at the moment.
I've started a second character on Skyrim, a Dunmer mage/theft/assassin to do the quests I didn't think fit with my Two Handed melee Nord character.
Shadowrun: Hong Kong finally dropped today, got in an hour or so with it before I had to go to work, it's looking good.
GTA5 on PC. Not really a PC gamer, and only a casual consoler, but couldn't resist trying out some of the PC mods Really just waiting for Phantom Pain and No Man's Sky on PS4 I've seen some gameplay and very atmospheric. Sort of Dr Who-y Brit scifi/John Wyndham/Nigel Kneale. Done that
Interesting. There are a couple of bell towers though, where when you land at the top, your buzzer will blow off the top and onto the ground below. Thankfully, it doesn't get destroyed (unless your enemies...or worse, your buddies) accidentally blow it up. I'm sure you've run into that a few times as well. And Pagan Min's Fortress (before you get to his personal stronghold) is so easy to overtake.
Just got sucked into watching a four-hour playthrough of Everybody's Gone to the Rapture. Currently downloading the incredible, gorgeously mournful soundtrack. All I can say is if you plan on actually playing it: get ready for the Feels, and have a hankie ready. Jesus.
I will say, for anyone not familiar with English countryside, it captures atmosphere pretty well (in an acknowledged idealistic old skool Brit sci-fi style). And the sound work is fantastic.
I'm still playing Driveclub... just slowly working on the DLC. And I started playing Murdered: Soul Suspect earlier today. I got it from PSN Flash sale for $7.80.
I figured with last months patch for Kotor2, I've give it a run through. I've run into one minor (possible) bug though. No matter what I do, T3 and Atton have turned to the dark side - and I've only just arrived at Telos. Still, I've been having fun with it.
Has anyone here played any of the point 'n click adventure games from Wadjet Eyes? I'm really hooked on their Blackwell series. I just started the second game earlier today.
I picked up The Witcher 3 at launch and have been absolutely hooked. It's without a doubt the best game I've played on PS4 so far. I love pretty much everything about it. I've played... maybe 40-50 hours, and I only just hit level 19. Such a brilliant game!
