Kaspersky Internet Security is working but not totally, apparently 2016 works but it's giving me a BSOD when I try to update it. But Defender is working, Kaspersky is working to a certain extent but appears to believe I'm in safe mode.
RevdKathy is using Avast and that works fine.
Yeah, one of the most common problems I've seen reported is 10 not playing well with certain AV programs. Best to disable them for the time being.

It's working fine now. I was using AVG. Think I'll just use Windows Defender.
Overall I like this - went into Powershell and uninstalled a lot of the junk like xbox and installed Start10 and I'm all set.
I want to remove the photos app it's a waste for me.. And OneNote won't match up with the OneNotes on my phone...
I thought boot up was supposed to be faster it is actually taking longer then Windows 7 to boot up and my start sounds are gone too..
And it keeps changing me from a local account to a microsoft account WTF?

Make sure you've done this.
I imagine it's going to vary based on your hardware and also how much free disk space you had when you started your installation. If you didn't have much space available, it's very possible your OS is fragmented and that's going to slow down boots (among other things.)I thought boot up was supposed to be faster it is actually taking longer then Windows 7 to boot up and my start sounds are gone too..
Do this. If you always login with a local account, you don't have to deal with the MS account stuff. And it keeps changing me from a local account to a microsoft account WTF?
Gee, that's a little requirement MS could have bothered to mention.
I never purposely install IE.![]()
Just got an email. "It looks like you've reached your device limit for installing apps and games from the Store on your Windows 10 device. If you want to install apps and games from the Store on another Windows 10 device, remove a device from the device list."
Unfortunately, I only have the one so that may be a teeny bit of an issue if I do remove it![]()
It's not the amount of apps (well other than the bug of only 512 showing on the apps list) is the amount of devices you can attach to your account, which appears to be 10, previously it was 81.
I now have 2 options. Stick with Windows 10 or use my backup to go back to windows 7. I can't decide as I think I'm liking this apart from the slower then expected boot time.
I did a backup of both operating systems so that should give me the choice.
Is it possible to have Windows 7 on a blank hard drive and just swap drives when you wish to?

Sure, though that sounds a bit cumbersome. You could always just dual boot them.
Anyway, I found out how to make Cortana activate by voice command, and now I have become death, destroyer of worlds.
(Go to Cortana's settings, click on Notebook, then Settings, and choose "Hey Cortana" voice option)
