Why I have this attitude is because of how I've been treated by people all of my life. It doesn't matter what opinion or belief i have, it's always "YOU CAN'T SAY THAT SHUT THE FROCK UP!" and other assorted similar insults and berating for many years. I have even been in a few fistfights because I dared have a different opinion that the other people.

To me, true tolerance does not pick and choose who gets to be tolerated and accepted. That's not tolerance.

True tolerance allows people to express their opinions. We all have a right to our opinions. Even if they are a bigoted one.

i hate bullies of all sorts, regardless of what group does it. And one form of bullying is telling people to shut up and conform.

There is also a difference in expressing a negative emotion on something and personally attacking someone. I was not personally attacking anyone on this forum. People just took it personally which they didn't really have to. they chose to do so.

I will not be bullied, and i will not be silenced except for when you people will ban me. That is inevitable.

But I promise you, if you treat me with respect and fairly, I will return the favor. On that I give you my word.

I am not a bad an evil guy. I am not unreasonable.

You seem confused about a great many things. If you are saying that you are very prejudiced against homosexuals, then you are by definition a bigot. Why openly admit to one thing and then get hung up on being called the other?

They have a lot of dishonesty about them, such as how they have co-opted the word lifestyle to mean that it means a reference to their orientation.

I don't even believe gays co-opted the word lifestyle to begin with. In fact, the most prominent use of it in reference to the "gay lifestyle" was during the early years of the HIV/AIDS crisis where it was mistakenly thought to be a "gay disease" that affected only those who practiced a so-called gay lifestyle. Besides, it's not a lifestyle as in you choose to live the hipster or a goth lifestyle, it's the way they are born.

So if the orange color doesn't represent their plight, because there still is a fair amount of other forms of bigotry and prejudice against, then I am very confused on what they are trying to use the color to symbolize for them.

It's a fashion reference. Have you ever heard "Red is the new black" in terms of a shift in fashion design trends? Here, it represents the rather upscale and fashion conscious lead making the most of an orange prison jumpsuit by saying it's the new fashion that's in-style this year.

And your personal attacks against me does not help matters much. Know this, I do know a lot about the shaming techniques and tactics from liberals. So if you want to get along with me please, don't use them against me. I do not appreciate being corrected in any way and will NOT comply, and you will only end up getting me banned from this site because I will fight you any way I can.

There are many gay people who read and post regularly here and many friends of gay people, family of gay people. It is painful to read this in what should be a friendly forum about star trek, I'd imagine for some people it is like an awful slap in the face.

Just substitute "gay" with "black" if you don't get the picture of how this comes across.
