The Flash - Season 1

There's actually a large group of psychopaths who think that Barry and Caitlin should hook up.

The Arrow producers kept trying to push Laurel on Oliver (seriously? was there some ancient urban legend that Laurel and (Oliver) Hardy were massively gay for each other) but it just would never work out any good, and they finally, finally accepted that.

Have you never talked to a woman before?

Only the weak and unempowered ones actually say that.

It's right up there with "You only tease me, because you're jealous of how smart I am!"

Actually Strong women, just work out how to destroy you, and get on with it.

I don't consider her strong or empowered, yet.

Just be patient. Really patient. The problem with Iris is not with the character herself, but with the way the people around her -- and the writers -- conspired to keep her out of the clubhouse, thereby limiting her potential. But... well, just be patient.

Don't forget the Flash/Arrow crossovers.

In one, Iris' Dad and Laurel/Sarah's dad have a conversation about keeping secrets, and having secrets kept from them.

You're right about that. Why keep Iris out of the loop. She's shown she can take care of herself (Her punch on Tony in last night's episode was nice) so why this worry about keeping her safe.

I kind of wish this series was on Netflix so I don't have to wait every week for the new episode, but I can't complain too much. I'm glad I'm getting a chance to see it, even though if they are showing the whole season this summer, they have to double up some weeks.

It will probably be added to Netflix when the reruns are done.

Amazon sells subscriptions to perpetual (theoretically) streaming rights to episodes and seasons, but for a total of above the blu-ray cost. They should work out a deal where, if one pre-buys the blu-ray season set at a reasonable price, one can stream each episode starting the day after it airs, in perpetuity.

Well, I'm more than happy to screen a marathon with my living room home theatre, for any one who can to schlep over to mine this weekend.

Why bother when people can just watch them on CW.com, Hulu, and the CW app, all of which offer the episodes completely free without any kind of purchase.

The Season 1 Blu-Ray set will include digital download versions of the episodes along with the disc copies.

For people living in the States. In other places, YMMV. I took advantage of a short-lived sale on iTunes (Canada) and bought S1 for about half the price of the Blu-ray set. I know it won't be quite as good in PQ and SQ as the Blu-ray, but at half the price, the difference doesn't matter to me.
