Is there ever going to be a TNG series blu ray release for the US?

I have been waiting a long time for a US release of the tng blu ray set. Will it ever happen? I will purchase the ugly green set with UK rating images on it if I have to, but I will continue to wait for a US release if anyone actually thinks it's going to happen...

What I don't understand is why they would release a UK set so quickly but not a US set...

Whenever I hear people saying stuff like "Well DS9 will never be made because the TNG blu rays never sold well enough.." I think... if they had just released a proper US release when they should have, they would have sold a lot better. I know that I held off on buying the single sets with the expectation of an eventual proper series package. I'm sure there are many others who did the same.

Star Trek is a "made in America" product and I think it absurd that a TNG blue ray set would not be sold in America. The same with the model of the JJPrise.

Australia got a version too, but instead of the wonky UK packaging with it's dodgy 'fat' disc cases and crappy made-up-in-photoshop-in-five-minutes artwork, ours was simply the standard seasons 1 to 7 blu ray releases packed into a outer box together.

Of course, the UK one does come with a collectable booklet, and is also somewhat cheaper. YMMV about the rest. Our one is certainly more economical on shelf space than the UK one... from what I've seen of it, theirs is very cumbersome.

Nah, haven't heard any word on it. Doesn't mean it won't happen. But it has been six months since the Australian and UK versions got released, so...

I've read that the German release is similar to the Australian one and the rating logo there is a easily removable sticker apparently, so there's always that option.

This thread confuses me. The series has been released on Blue Ray over the past three years. My best friend has collected all seven seasons worth.
