I finally had to admit, the T1 Constitution was no longer cutting it at Level 56. So i switched to the T2 Constitution... well, i cheated a bit and picked the Exeter with the extra exngineering Lt slot.
That should give me enough survivability to finish the game.

Got bored so went to have a look around the Reman city on new romulus :)

Shame no-one was home

How did you get there? I once went down, but ended up "below" it, and found no way to go higher to the city.

If you can get down to below the city it is easy to get up top.
What you need to do is go down the central canal of the city until you hit an invisible wall at the end, then make sure you are right up against the wall on the left or right hand side.
You must then log out to the change character screen, then log back in on the same character. If you have positioned yourself correctly you will respawn in the city.

So, guess what we get as a new Summer Festival reward on Risa this year.

I give you a hint:

That's why we get the pitbull miniboard and not the pink Mattel hover board.

Though I would like regular hoverboards for the land area. But i guess that would be redundant with the Jetsons floaters.

I'll try that! Thanks! :)

Haha, don't tell Tom Paris, I beat his Delta Flyer on the race track with a Galileo type TOS shuttlecraft!

Even the kazon mistook that flying box for a mighty fast supershuttle they just had to steal from me. I kicked their raider's asses with the same craft of course! ;)

Cryptic is releasing new T6 versions of the veteran destroyers today with fleet versions available later.

Now that is a sweet surprise.

This makes the Chimera/Manticore class and their KDF and Romulan counterparts competitive again.

Good move, Cryptic.

I was pleased to see that too, my Chimeras have been sitting in drydock for a long time.

Nice. Used them for a long time, but eventually (like a couple weeks ago) bailed to go to the Eclipse. Figures they'd update them almost immediately :)

I must say the Romulan ship is lovely. A nice aesthetic change after splashed spiders that are pilot ships.

But it'll be a while before I'm a veteran, and getting Lifetime for a ship is a bit stretch, so I'll just look. :)

They've got the STO Forums shut down for a migration to the ARC site this week...
I think I'm going into withdrawal...
Haven't posted a TREK thought for two days now.

Thank goodness for this thread.

I just check STO's reddit page.

There's less asshatery over there, the devs are around more, and and its easier to find threads on subjects without having to navigate the entire site (probably one of the reasons why the devs are more likely to show up).

I'm glad I'm not the only one.

BTW, amusing, that I recognise your name from STO forum, but not from here LOL

Right now the "forum page" tells me that I can't log in, because I wasn't assigned a password yet. Logging through Arc doesn't work. I hope it's a temporary side effect of the move.

So I've got a lot of toons, and rarely use a lot of them now and I'm going to delete the inactive ones. I want to make sure I liquidate them fully so that anything of any use goes to my active toons. Here's what I've done so far:

Sold anything of value on the exhange/converted the valueless to energy credits
Deposited energy credits into account bank
Used Fleet Credits to buy duty officers, then give them to other toons so they get the fleet credit increase from contributing them to fleet projects.
Mail unassigned Bridge Officers to other toons.
Unequip all Bridge Officers and ship equipment, convert to energy credits.

Is there anything I'm missing before I allow these heroes of the Federation to retire on Risa?

R&D Materials, check. Dilithium I was gonna put into fleet projects so I could use it to get more duty officers send them to active toons and get them the fleet credit.

I''ll have to check on the Delta Rewards, not sure about that. Thanks.
