This is a neat shot from Ep. 4. It looks so much like it could have been a TOS scene. I'm curious to see Chuck Huber as Prime McCoy as opposed to Mirror Universe McCoy.
Check out the early vignettes.

The warp core seems like a bunch of wasted space , just a big room dedicated to a light show. There's authenticity and then there's authenticity.
Honestly we have plenty of room for the core and we have enough extra space for anything else we will need so it's not really a concern (but having it on casters is a cool idea if space were limited).

It would also allow you to redress the engineering set as other areas of the ship, just like on TOS.

It was also moved and used for the Phaser control room in "Balance of Terror" but it was never used that way in the second or third season once the engine room configuration was changed. We are more interested in having enough space for the Emergency Manual Monitor (which we do have).
Oh, I'll bet Vic is just itching to wear those pants! As long as we don't have to see those exercise pants from "Charlie X" again.
It will be great to see the Engineering set when it's all ready. Perhaps it could also be re-dressed to serve as the infamous on-board bowling alley.
