Star Wars Rebels Season One (spoilers)

Disney is doing everything right.

Okay. Almost. Once thing I'm really missing now more than before is a clean conclusion to TCW. Adding Rex just really rubs it in.

Holy crap. I just saw the Season Two trailer. It looks like a completely different series! I loved the first season but I'm really excited to see it become a hybrid of Clone Wars and step into a much larger world.

I hope season 2 brings more Lando. At first I wasn't all that upset he's not in TFA. But after "Chewie, we're home." I find myself a little disappointed BDW didn't get an invite to the party.

FYI-- when I saw Anthony Daniels at ECCC the other week, I asked him about "Rebels", and he said that he hadn't been contacted about a season two appearance.:(

Re-watched the trailer and and the duel between Vader and Kanan and Ezra, and I noticed...

...When Vader forces Ezra's lightsaber to his throat, he puts himself in the line of fire of Ezra's blaster. Methinks the Dark Lord is about to get a face full of blaster bolt. They certainly aren't going to get out of this one dueling.

I have a hard time believing that Kanan and Ezra would have a ghost of a chance against Vader. I feel that would kind of weaken him as a threat. Now, Ahsoka showing up to save them from Vader is something I could definitely see happening. (Maybe that's why she's looking away from Vader in that poster? Telling them to run?)

Rex!
I do like how this is connected to the clone wars, making this feel all part of the same universe.

Vader's voice feels a little off.

Now this is the kind of stuff I was expecting to see when this series was first announced.

Hash thing: Shit just got real!!

RebelsReport just tweeted, "Season Two begins this summer with a one-hour movie event and continues this fall with all-new episodes on Disney XD." Summer ends Sept 20 so it has to be before then. Best case scenario late June.

The spoilers from S02E01-S02E02 The Seige of Lothal are starting to appear online. Soon we'll be lathered up in spoiler slather.

Season 2 looks great. It's just pushing all the right Star Wars buttons for me.

And Hondo! That's great, Hondo is way cooler than Cad Bane.

This also shows why the Stormtroopers of the Empire are not Clone Trooper. At least, not anymore.

I just realised that one-eyed clone with Rex is almost certainly Commander Wolffe. I wonder if any of the other's there are known characters? Honestly I can never keep track of most of the clone characters.

A thing to note. All those Clone Troopers are actually only maybe 27 years old at the time of Rebels. Yet they look like badass Santa. Any remaining Clone Wars era trooper in the Empire would also look like that (save with regulation hair and a newer uniform).

I can only image the Empire keeping the clones that were put into motion during or before the Clone Wars as they would have been paid for. The making of new clones would have ended at war's end I think, or very shortly into the reign of Palpatine. as Emperor. These last clones, the ones born during the war (using the method on Kamino rather than any faster methods) would be older than the clones we saw in the war (14 or 15 years old at the youngest) and still be viable troopers with bodies around 30 year old., just a little older than Rex or Cody looked during the War. But they would only be viable like that for maybe 5 to 10 more years. At least as far as he Empire would be concerned with them being front line troops or officers. Means the last viable Clone Troopers would be aging out just after Endor. They looks viable as troopers from age 8 or 9 to age 20, maybe 25. Some might be well as officers or the old Chiefs and the like up until 30 or at the latest 35 I would think. After that they'll probably start to get frail and died of old age around 45 to 55. Not sure what the human life expectancy is in Star Wars without the actual wars going on.

Having seen the season 2 trailer and can't help myself but be a nitpicky supernerd:

The A Wing and B Wing were both developed as a result of the Battle of Yavin, which is still several years in the future during the time frame of Rebels.

There were not even prototypes out yet at that time.

That being said the trailer does look interesting. Might give it a shot again.
