We need more pictures posted in this thread, especially for those of us still trying to figure out how to afford these.

I wonder if any of the Wolf 359 ships or the DS9 frankenfleet (outside the Centaur) are going to be made eventually. The Saber and Steamrunner are REALLY nice!

^Ben mentioned the 359 ships as being "high on the list" for issues 60-90, so I'd say yes, the 359 ships (and Frankenfleet) will certainly be made (Although I could do without a Yeager class :P)

Those two models look amazing. Thanks for adding the photos. I'd love to see the Yeager class, actually.

If you have the extra cash, you could always get another Voyager and Maquis Raider, chop and reassemble them accordingly just like Hutzel's team did with the Revollogram models to make the original. I thought of doing that myself, actually, as they are of the correct respective scales to make it work. But I don't have the extra cash and it would be a somewhat expensive endeavor to make such a kit-bash. I came to this conclusion when I looked into pricing on building the other DS9 kitbashes, like the Shelley, Raging Queen, Hutzel, Elkins, etc. :(

I am basing which ones I get on posted images and reviews on this thread. A couple I really wanted I have not gotten due to flaws (like the Ferengi Marauder).
The Norway pictured above is nice but the hull cut outs for the bussards looks pretty rough, hopefully a prototype issue to be fixed in final production. The Akira had a problem too but this was fixed when it was released.

Anybody have a picture of the Oberth class they could share?

    Here's the Drone Ship:

    Here is 1701-B

I see the "B" is hard to head here too. Mine is pretty much a blob. Don't know if I should complain or not.

Yeah, that Yeager (not to be confused with the one pictured above) is truly hideous. There's definitely a number of ships I'd rather see them cover first.

That's not the Norway. Those are the Steamrunner and Saber pictured above. The Norway class was the one whose CG pattern was supposedly lost or corrupted, which is why, unlike the Akira and the other two, it hasn't shown up since First Contact.

That said, I've heard they ARE still going to get around to doing that one.

I've brought up the Merchantman and the Batris on occasion, but the Groumall and the Jenolen are two I'd like to see as well.

Hopefully, they'll do the Antares as well, now that it's actually been seen.

I've just began my subscription and I'm eager to receive my first installment. I've got a large number of the Hot Wheels collection and I was wondering if anyone has had an opportunity to compare both series in terms of build quality.

I'm patiently waiting for now, but I'm not known for my patience.

Arn't they the promotional photos for each of the two. I don't have the Drone Ship but I do have the B and it is wonderful and don't get what you're saying is wrong with yours.

    Yes they are.

the "B" on the "1701-B" on the saucer section is not recognizable as a "B". too much ink I'm guessing.

In the grand scheme of things, that's pretty petty to complain about.

Asked Ben about the Peregrine fighter - NOT the Maquis Raider which was already released; the actual Peregrine which is a different ship - and it's being done. So is the Academy Trainer fighter/shuttle from "First Duty" :)

Not surprised to here about the Fighter as it had a prominent role in DS9 Maquis, brief shots in Preemptive Strike, and several large ships scenes in Sacrifice of Angels, very surprised at the Academy Trainer as that was a fairly rough model that was barely scene in one episode.

Just got the Vengeance today, and jesus what a hideous looking ship. The model is fine, but God it is one of the ugliest designs every made in Trek.

I received my D4-class bird of prey on Monday. It complements the Hot Wheels version nicely - the new D4 is bigger and more detailed but the green D4 is greater for playability. I'm going to keep the new one in its box for the time being.

On the design process depicted in the magazine - the final design is the best one. The rest is mostly looking like abstract sculptures or debris. They wanted to go for asymmetric layered metal sheets first. I'm glad they didn't. If you think the Narada was a departure from classic Romulan design...

    :)

Was just reading the interview with the Eaglemoss guy in charge of this line over at Heroes Assemble... disappointed he wasn't really up for a Star Trek figurine collection (like Eaglemoss' own Marvel/DC/Dr Who ones).

I am way more about the characters than the technology/ships. I don't care what button does what on the console, or some ship that had a couple of seconds of screentime. I care about Picard, Riker, Spock and all the others. A figurine collection would be a dream for me!!

He describes it as "not ideal" - I assume he means because Trek has a lot of human-type characters in similar uniforms (more challenging to differentiate each release). The toy companies said the same thing. However, a well-conceived release order (mix up main crew characters alongside Borg, Cardassian, Gorn etc releases) would squash this.

I think Trek has the needed market for this - it wouldn't be as popular as the superhero ones, but I bet a lot of people would go for it!!

Failing that, would love to see Eaglemoss do a new Star Wars figurine collection. The Deagonisti effort from 2005-2007 was terrible. Eaglemoss does them so much nicer...
