Once Upon A Time Season 4

The author is a villain?

Didn't see that one coming. :alienblush:

The old guy who imprisoned him, was that the apprentice?

Have we seen the sorcerer yet?

Have we met Lily yet? If so, was she the girl Emma befriended as a teen then abandoned? :vulcan:

Wow. The one character I never expected to exist in this show was
Walt Disney
. :wtf: That's quite the name drop...

I like this season and how it might connect more to next season, and how Oz is coming back into play. But I'll be damned after the "This author is bad" thing I would think everyone be smart enough to listen!

Yes, we have seen him before, he watched the hat.
Not that I remember.
Yes Lily is the teenage girl and the daughter of the Frozen aunt.

So Lily is somebody important afterall.
I have to admit, I didn't expect them to actually find the author so soon. I was half execpting the search for the author to cover multiple seasons.
I did get a big kick out of the reference to Walt Disney.

I'm glad Snow and Charming finally told Emma their big and ugly secret about what they did to Maleficent's child, whom Emma had met before in the outside world. It's obvious at this point that Maleficent doesn't need the Author to write her a happy ending. Emma will be instrumental in helping her find her missing child Lily, and the Charmings will be absolved of their past sins.

The identity of the Author has been revealed, and he turns out to be somewhat of a rapscallion. Regina and Gold are the only stakeholders left. Once the Author has done his due diligence, I'm inclined to think that August will be the next designated Author.

His name is Mickey and he was once turned into a mouse by either Anna or Rumpel... ;)

Daaamn, that was some really dark stuff, losing a child while it is being born... That did hit a bit too close to home for my comfort.
I was bawling my eyes out over Maleficents sorrow, and then they name dropped Him. I didn't know to laugh or cry, I was essentially bawling my eyes out while waking my neighbours while laughing very loudly...

This show never ceases to surprise and amaze me...

I think you mean "the daughter of Maleficent". ;)
Yea, she was a runaway from her adopted Father, so, she wasn't a "permanent" charge of Frozen Aunt, like Emma was.

I saw the conjecture that Lily was going to be Maleficent's child, and I thought it was crazy-talk...Heh, well done, and good callback and twist for the show.

The second OUAT graphic novel, One of the Past came out today. It's written by show writer and co-executive producer Kalinda Vazquez and features four stories focused on different characters. The description doesn't say anything about which characters are featured, but the cover shows Hook, Rumpelstiltskin and Belle, The Evil Queen, and the The Mad Hatter, so I'm assuming it's probably them.

Well.

I didn't see THAT coming. :wtf:

Zelena is a "word that rhymes with rich".

I wonder what Regina is going to do.

I definitely did not see that coming either... though it kinda clears Regina & Robin of some past wrong doing, and clearing the path for their future

Wait. I don't recall what happened to Zelena last time. Didn't Regina defeat her and send her back to Oz? So Zelena killed the real Marian, stole her identity, and followed Emma and Hook back to Storybrooke. I thought Zelena had been imprisoned and depowered somehow.

^ Did you not see "Kansas" or catch the blatant flashbacks to that episode in tonight's episode? The good guys apprehended her before she could cast her portal spell and put her in jail, but Rumple showed up, turned her into glass with the real dagger (after having given Belle the fake one), and then shattered her body, but her essence survived and traveled across town to activate the time portal seal that sucked Emma and Hook into the past (as seen in "Snow Drifts" and "There's No Place Like Home").

Ah, so it's true! A friend of mine posted that very theory on another board last night. It never occurred to me at all.

We are seeing the rewrites beginning to retroactively take place that the author, or a new author is going to put in place at the end of the season that is now impossible to occur, since the older draft (Original timeline. Shush) forced Marian to be made dead so that Regina could have her happy ending means that the Universe where Sad Regina was standing either continued without the changes taking effect in parallel, or it was demolished by a paradox.

If you personally rewrote your own history to be "better" the new you wouldn't be you, it's suicide, or it could be like at the end of Back to the Future, where Marty McFly had the wrong parents and a kick ass truck. What a ####. Just becuase your parents are not embarrassing anymore, it doesn't mean that you should relish in your own ignorance about being orphanned.

Sure their plan was to change the future, but if some one is being sloppy, then they're changing the past as well to help the changes in the future make more sense.
