Once Upon A Time Season 4

^ Did you not see "Kansas" or catch the blatant flashbacks to that episode in tonight's episode? The good guys apprehended her before she could cast her portal spell and put her in jail, but Rumple showed up, turned her into glass with the real dagger (after having given Belle the fake one), and then shattered her body, but her essence survived and traveled across town to activate the time portal seal that sucked Emma and Hook into the past (as seen in "Snow Drifts" and "There's No Place Like Home").

I do recall the scene where Rumple stabbed Zelena and turned her into a statue. So that must have occurred after Regina defeated her in a face-off at the barn.

If I remember correctly, the face off in the barn was where they captured Zelena, then they put her in jail where Rumple stabbed her.

Wow, that was a hell of a twist I did not see coming. So I wonder if Zelena will end up joining up with Maleficent and Cruella, or if that will all stay fairly seperate.
Was this the first that we learned about Will being from Oz? I don't remember that ever coming up in either or the shows.

That was a De Vil-ishly delicious episode.

They've been talking about Emma going dark since the beginning of this arc, but somehow the Charmings still seemed surprised when the Author told them Gold's plan. And now it finally happened.

Cruella certainly had a troubled past. At first it appeared that she had a bit of a Cinderella or Rapunzel background living a life in captivity and being dominated and detained by her cruel mother. Smitten with a beautiful and charming young lady, the Author blindly fell for her not knowing the truth about her patricidal nature.

So now the only Queen of Darkness left is Maleficent. Next week Emma finds Lily. I look forward to Regina facing off with Zelena in NY.

They were obviously hinting that Cruella was an unnamed NPC in the Great Gatsby.

Or that there is an overlapping nexus where all stories from the era converge into and out of.

Even in old lady make up, Anna Galvin is stunning.

Didn't the original animated 100 Dalmations take place in that approximate era?
I really enjoyed getting Cruella's backstory, I did not expect her to be connected to the Author, aka Isaac, if that's his real name. I love how they made you think she was another innocent young girl who was turned evil, but then threw the reveal that she was apparently always evil at us.
That was a pretty good shocker at the end. I wonder how dark they are going to go with Emma before she is redeemed?

Maybe they shouldn't have named the kid "Cruella". Just saying.:p

I look forward to Maleficent taking on Zelena. Imagine how ticked off Mal will be when she finds out Gold has been colluding with the great and powerful green one.

But Maleficent doesn't know Zelena. She has no grudge against her. Regina on the other hand has been deceived and manipulated by her sister.

I meant that Mal would be upset that Gold was working with someone besides her. She's already been betrayed by her 2 fellow queens of darkness (QOD) in their individual paths to a "happy" ending. Soon she will get confirmation that Gold is going to sell her out to this unknown QOD for his happy ending.

No family, no friends, and no partners in crime.

That makes Mal one very dangerous dragon.

That didn't turn out to be the case tonight. Maleficent was willing to work with the good guys just to find her daughter. It's amazing how allegiances quickly shift on this show. First, it's Ursula, now Maleficent. The only Queen of Darkness to ally with Gold until the end was Cruella.

I couldn't believe Mr. Apprentice ratted out the Charmings to Lily, but I guess they deserved it. I'm glad Emma didn't pull the trigger on her, but that also means Maleficent and Lily, as shown in the preview, will start plotting their revenge on the Charmings.

Zelena pulled the pregnancy card. That was predictable.

Regina came through for Emma tonight.

Its good to see Emma's super powers work on someone besides Regina.

That Apprentice really got around... guess Regina's spell couldn't keep him bound to Storybook.

"What's that?"

"That's magic."

Poor Robin.

Poor Regina. :brickwall:

Poor Maleficent. :sigh:

Really enjoyed this one. I was kind of shocked by Maleficent's change of sides, but i works.
Seeing Gold and Will working together to save Belle's heart was nice.
I really liked the reappearance of Lily. I figured that it was going to all or at least most of the episode, so I was surprised they found her so quickly. Was that the first car chase we've gotten on OUaT?
As much love all of the Enchanted Forest flashbacks, the Earth based Emma ones can be a nice change of pace.
I did not expect The Apprentice to be the one who old Lily about magic and the Charmings. So I wonder if the smoke is The Sorcerer or if he was just talking through the smoke?

Hopefully we'll learn more about the Sorcerer.

I was surprised that Lily knew so much about Storybrooke and the Enchanted Forest. Finding her flow chart on the wall was a real Lost-like moment.

Does anyone else feel like we're getting too many characters introduced too late in the game?

I mean, we've now got five villains whose story arcs will (probably) need to be resolved in three episodes. In Emma, we've got a potential sixth.

I might be being a bit of a negative nancy, but I just wonder if things are going to get very rushed from here on out, even if some loose threads are left for next season (assuming the show gets one.)

A couple of those villains seem pretty resolved at this point, but we've also got the Sorcerer. We need some more information there, for sure.

I think they've already done a pretty good tying up Ursula and Cruella's stories, so I'm confident they'll give us some good conclusions for whoever's stories don't continue into next season. I've been pretty happy with how they handled most of their stories, so I'm pretty confident in the writers at this point.

I just still wonder if Cruella is sincerely dead or only temporarily dead.
