NBC revives Coach, 13 episode ordered

Um.....why?

That was my first reaction.

The original didn't exactly set the world on fire, and the TV market is completely different now--this show went off the air in 1997.

I mean, I guess if NBC wants to spend the money, we'll see what happens.

O.....kay? Not sure why either. I mean, I watched it back in the day, but I honestly couldn't give you any specifics as to plots. My first thought though is are they also bringing back Patrick, I mean Dauber?

^ Sitcoms don't usually do "plots".

It was an OK show, if it was on I might watch, but never went out of my way to do so.

I watched it when it was on, I loved his crazy friend, but this is completely not needed at all. However couldn't be any worse than the crap NBC has now.

I'm still a little shocked the Full House continuation seemed to have stalled out. Next it will be announced that Bewitched is coming back... oh wait NBC is trying that too. Maybe MASH will return!

The original was on ABC. Weird, weird overall.

If Scott Bakula was not busy with his new show I would like to see NBC revive Quantum Leap!

Are networks really that desperate for '90s nostalgia? Holy Moses.

That's where I'm at too. Liked Coach ok, but tbh that's kind of out of left field.

After-After-M*A*S*H or Way-After-M*A*S*H

Don't forget Girl Meets World.

If you're going to revive a series why would you do it with some disposable three camera sitcom most people don't remember? What's next, a new Home Improvement season?

I heard a brief tale a year ago fro ma production company of "Due South" being considered.

But "Coach"? I seriously wouldn't want to watch a sport series set in these times of politically correct madness gone wild and other stupidity. I hyave a feeling it will be used as a vehicle to promote some of that in episodes, using a familiar show and faces to appeal to feelings instead of intelligent thought. I know, synical, but I don't trust NBC.
