Arrow - Season 3

The writers like to tie the past storyline events into similarities with the current so I think Oliver's line to RAG about having seen a lot of things so not surprised the fountain of youth is real couLD be related to Shado.

Well, I just had a horrible thought.

If Slade had sex with her corpse, maybe the mirakuru transferred through that act could have brought her back.

Not unlike the fairy story of Snow White.

^ Stop that! :p

Pretty good episode, though Ollie was weirdly chipper after finding his purpose in life again in the aftermath of a whole lot of cops being slaughtered. And yeah, it would've been nice if Rha's hand remained scarred after being dipped in the pool. Wonder what's going on there.

Nanda Parbat is in Asia, right? It totally has to be. So Nyssa must have one helluva fast private jet to be making all these instant trips.

And the "Hong Kong Botanical Garden" was a blatant re-use of the night Staling City scene location we got... I forget when, but I think it was earlier this season, when Ollie and Diggle and Nyssa were tracking Malcolm before they knew for sure he was still alive. Either way, we've totally been there before, and on a different continent. :rommie:

Lance hasn't just turned against Arrow, he's turned against his daughter, and because of the same reason. Laurel made a point that she isn't giving up on him. For Lance to eventually comes to terms with what Laurel did would mean coming to terms with what Arrow did.

Lance also knows that Arrow won't be the one who is on a mass murder spree. He knows first hand that anyone can put on a mask and costume, he went through thinking that Laurel was Sara.

Didn't the scar take a couple of seconds to heal after he removed his hand?

Perhaps in days gone by, the hand would have been as good as new the intant it was removed from the Lazarus Pit.

Yeah, but once a green hooded guy starts murdering people, Arrow is the prime suspects and warrants an investigation which is all Lance needs to get back at him.

I thought Ollie had a pretty profound conversation with Ra's at the beginning. Their dialogue was almost poetic. :)

Question: How far away is Nanda Parbat from Starling City? It seems Nyssa can travel back and forth at ease in such a short amount of time. I'll bet she doesn't even have to deal with TSA agents at the airport. There's got to be a wormhole someplace we haven't yet seen.

Haven't we already seen how she deals with airport security?

Am I the only one wondering what Nyssa is up to this week? :vulcan:

Is she in town to reminisce about her dead lover with her dead lover's sister? :(

Is she in town to try and seduce Laurel into a taking the place of her former lover? :alienblush:

Is she in town because she needs to find a new life/purpose after being disinherited by her father? :klingon:

Or is she in town to forge a relationship with Laurel that she'll use as a weapon against Oliver Queen, the new heir apparent to the league of assassins?

It's the last one, no question. All the other options are too passive for Nyssa. She wouldn't just accept being robbed of her birthright, she'd try to do something about it.

It IS definitely the last one, but she could legitimately wish to bond with Laurel--even with an ulterior motive of turning her against Ollie.

If most of the TSA is League of Assassins, were they League before they signed up, or were they inducted after they got in?

Maybe I am misremembering. I thought Nyssa killed everyone in an airport in one episode--or was that something that happened in SHIELD?

Well Ray is certainly an Iron Man knockoff, shrinking might;ve given him the edge against Ollie though. Te whole hostage plotline seemed to bog down the storyline. And Ollie should've told Ray about the League Of Assassins, for someone as smart as Ray claims to be he makes alot of assumptions without many facts. And really Ollieidn't spend five years on that island.

I didn't like the A.T.O.M suit in use, so hope any rumours of a 2nd spinoff is D.O.A but dam that ending

Ray was surely closed-minded for assuming Arrow was guilty of the murders without any substantial proof. Well, at least he found out the truth eventually.

It was fun to see Diggle and Lyla tie the knot, only to be interrupted on their honeymoon night to go on a mission. Lyla probably made the right decision to leave her job and focus more on their family. Of course, Diggle was willing to do the same. It would be a challenge for a vigilante and a government operative to raise a family.

I liked the lack of drama at the actual wedding. While Ray had me won over this season, I didn't really care for him in this episode, jumping the gun.

The elephant in the room: What was going on with Brandon Routh's right eye?

It seems much less of an Iron Man rip off when you keep in mind that they really wanted Ted Kord but couldn't get the rights so settled for Palmer instead.

But that's not Blue Beetle either.

After fighting Barry, Ray should seem like he's standing still.

Methinks that the hood's hood needs a bit of lead in it's composition.

Barely any more weight and it might make his costume 1/2 a percent more bullet proof.
